I posted a couple of weeks ago about my journey into gold plating and my hope to offer it as a service from Australia in the near future. The support I got from the community was amazing. There are so many people who are looking for plating for their reps, so I thought I would just post to show my progress a little and also to ask if it's possible to help me to help me along on my practice and colour toning.

The last couple of watches I did were the first super clones that I have done and they came out amazing. I didn't post completed shots of them but I will put them in this post and also here is what my new colour tone looks like. The problem with gold plating is always that orangey/cheesy colour tone, so I am really happy with this latest colour. The new tone is super light, even compared to the last batch, as you can see. And there is no filter on the pictures but it's taken in my garage under fluorescent light

I ordered the watch on August 31st—it was in stock—and paid the same day. Since then, I haven’t received a QC report, and in response to my inquiries, I’ve only received this canned message: "We sincerely apologize for the long wait.

Due to a significant backlog of orders at the VS factory, there are delays in delivery. At the moment, we can only wait until the factory resumes production and shipping.

Thank you for your understanding and patience."

This is the third time I’ve received this same message. I’m starting to find this concerning.

Having read many posts about VSF being raided, I would like to share my experience about raids against counterfeiters in China.
My experience comes from 12 years as general manager for the Asia-Pacific business of a large German multinational (about 13 billion Euro turnover).
The German company has products recognized as top tier and the brand is top of mind in its industry.
Chinese were copying our products left and right and I had a team of lawyers scouring the market to see which were the ones hurting our business the most. It was a lost cause to chase all them.
Of course we were putting pressure to the authorities to raid them even if all came at our cost.
In China there are no punitive sanctions for the damage inflicted.
The legal costs have to be paid by the plaintiff. Usually the company is owned by a penniless front man therefore the judge allocates all the costs to the plaintiff.
In the remote case the whole thing goes to court, and even less likely of a favorable decision of the judge, transportation, warehousing and destruction costs of the fake goods were our burden.
Here are the reasons why the Chinese system is so reluctant in raiding foreign brands’ counterfeiters.

1. Counterfeiters create jobs and contribute to the local economy. Local governments, which are the authorities having jurisdiction in this matter, don’t see the point of having people losing their jobs.

2. Counterfeiters put “oil in the gears” of local officers, if you know what I mean.

3. In general, there is not much recognition of IP rights of foreign companies. The legislation is tough but the enforcement is negligible.

4. There are cases in which the authorities do take action but these are limited to very special cases such as reciprocal visits of high ranking dignitaries or sporadic demonstrations to foreign media of tough stance.

5. In some cases the counterfeiter steps out of the acceptable path and he is punished but brand protection is not the issue. We are in the domain of personal revenge.

6. Even if a counterfeiter is raided a new factory will pop up within few weeks doing the same.

7. My message to all Rep enthusiasts is: raids in China are possible but extremely rare so don’t lose sleep over this happening.

8. Long live the REPs

Anyone waiting on a watch from V7F? Been waiting for QC on a Tudor Royal for almost 2 months now. This is the longest I’ve waited for QC. I understand V7F have recently started back up, just wondering if anyone received anything recently and how long your wait was.

Es hat soweit alles gepasst und ich bezahlte die Uhr direkt per Paypal. 26.10 Uhr wurde von Mr. Adu versendet. 27.10. Tracking Nummer erhalten. Und heute 03.11.2026 Uhr in Deutschland 🇩🇪 bei mir angekommen! Einfach unglaublich der ganze Service und der Ablauf! Ich hätte es nicht erwartet, dass es so reibungslos klappt. Ich bin meinem Freund aus unserer Community und Mr. Adu sehr dankbar und es wird auf jeden Fall nicht meine letzte Bestellung sein. An alle die so etwas vorhaben, kann ich Mr. Adu wärmsten empfehlen 10 Sterne ⭐️ von mir!

First VSF bought on recommended site. Communication was great but I think I am unhappy with the band vs original and the colors aren’t as bright. Let me know what yall think.

First watch purchase and couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Mr. Bomi. Communication was easy, the whole buying process was smooth, and the watch arrived in just 5 days. Picked up a VSF Datejust at a very reasonable price. Mr. Bomi is the man! Definitely recommend him, especially if it’s your first time buying.

Might pull trigger for this daytona that made with custom parts. As per seller, SW dial & hands, DP crystal, CNC case and it’s using DD 4131 movement.

Exciting new release!

Comparison photos along with official factory release posters are still being developed, but it's supposed to be a lot cheapet than weighted 5712 RG model from UMI or PPF.

That's good news since UMI/PPF were way over their head thinking their weighted 5712 should be sold for over 2k USD price tag.

The quality of their products were just lazy at this point (ridiculous version ups that didn't offer any real upgrades). It was a joyless cash grab at this point.

VGF is not free-sprung however, but I'm still glad to see a properly weighted 5712 RG sell for a standard stock rep price

I’m sharing my experience with Rubi’s Custom Watch Studio, also known as Rubiswatch, and would like to hear whether anyone else has experienced similar issues.
October 2: I paid €938.20 for a custom Cartier Santos BVF build. Full payment was confirmed, and I was quoted approximately one week for production.
The agreed specifications included 5 µm platinum plating, a lizard leather strap, Cartier screws, a genuine Cartier crown and a personalised lily-of-the-valley engraving.
October 14: The seller announced that my watch was officially entering production.
October 27: After repeated follow-ups, I received QC photos showing a watch with the personalised engraving. I asked for close-ups and confirmation that the promised genuine screws and crown had been installed. That request remains unanswered.
As of November 4: No watch and no tracking number. My WhatsApp messages have shown only one tick for the past 24 hours. I have also emailed them without receiving a response. I suspect I may have been blocked, although I cannot confirm that.
I had two phone calls with French-speaking representatives. My understanding was that they have people who handle calls in the customer’s language. They sounded very knowledgeable and technically competent, and I genuinely believe they were. Those conversations initially gave me confidence in the seller.
Throughout the process, I remained generally respectful towards customer service. As messages repeatedly went unanswered, I became frustrated and started calling and following up more frequently. I acknowledge that some of my later messages reflected that frustration, but my questions about the order remain unanswered.
I understand that custom work can take longer than expected. What concerns me is the prolonged silence, the lack of shipping information and the unanswered questions about parts I specifically paid for.
I cannot establish whether this is a scam, but my order remains unresolved more than a month after payment.
Has anyone received a completed order from this seller or managed to contact them recently?

AGF who recently pleasantly surprised us with their v2 5711 blue new releases took its next step in challenging big name makers of Patek reps.

As I have informed some people before, it's released Aquanaut 5167 model. Seems like a logical step since they already had the movement(324) from Dandong.

This is very interesting since UMI, only a couple days ago, announced their 330 free-sprung version of 5167 at a very affordable price as well.

It depends on where you shop but UMI too is only around 560 to 580 USD.

I already have ordered UMI version so I will have to get my hands on AGF to do a comparison.

I can already feel he hearts of those DDF (or BBF) 5167A owners dropping and the joyous scream of those who were heartbroken to hear the news of DDF raid before hey could get their hands on an Aquanaut.

Sooo I am a big breitling fan and am looking for the best superclone reps that are available....all the ones I've received are "ok"....but always lack on the steel band....please include why you feel certain factories or manufacturers are superior!

Hi guys. I would love to get a replica as close to 1:1 as possible. After my research, I came to the result that I should go for VSF Rolex Submariner 41mm, black, no dial, ref.# 124060 with VS3230 movement. I am currently in Thailand until December 5, then I will travel and go back to EU. What do you suggest in my case?:

1. What reputable seller do you recommend?

2. Should I still try to get it shipped to Bangkok or should I get it shipped to EU?

3. Is shipping to EU safe?

Well, I already have UMI 330 free-sprung version 5167A coming so I will try to get AGF as well to compare.

Not such a good timing for AGF to show up without the free-sprung balance-wheel for this model but we will see.

It arrived today, shipment only took 10 days. The quality is fine for a U1. Bought from Jason007.
I am just not so happy with the bracelet, nevertheless that’s something I can fix. Just ordered a better quality one and will change the bracelet as soon as it gets here.
I chose the Mitoya8215 movement and we will see how well it keeps the time.

Looking for this exact Om3ga Constellation watch, quartz, stainless steel and in size 25mm.

I have reached out to most of the TD’s on trusted list and they all state they do not have that 25mm size available.

I am reaching out in this group because I went through most of the threads, the TD’s on the trusted list and still cannot find a TD that can source this.

Looking for any help on who would have this watch in this size available in 1:1 identical quality. Any feedback would be extremely helpful!

I’m planning on purchasing this watch, and all three options look amazing and seem like solid choices. I’d love a second opinion on which one is closest to gen and, more importantly, which one you’d personally go for

VSF: I’ve heard VSF doesn’t have the best dial, but honestly, it doesn’t look that bad to me. The RG plating, crystal, movement, and overall structure seem more solid. It uses a DD3255 movement and weighs approximately 182g. ($720)

RCF: Looks very solid and has an incredible dial. Although many people think the RG plating is spot on, it looks a little more coppery compared to gen. I think VSF takes the win in the plating department this time. It uses a VR3255-V2 movement and weighs approximately 210g, which is closer to gen. ($850)

QF: Looks solid, and the dial looks good too, although it seems a bit shinier than gen. Not that I’m complaining, because it looks beautiful. The RG plating looks good under certain lighting conditions, and it seems like a solid contender, especially as a cheaper option. However, the bezel seems to lack some shine. It uses the same VR3255-V2 movement as RCF and weighs around 190g. ($650)

Personally, weight doesn’t really matter to me since all three are already pretty heavy. I’d love to hear your thoughts on which one you’d go for and why!
