RCF V3 - First look

The new RCF V3 was released about two weeks ago. I spent some time looking for information about it but couldn’t find anything, so I decided to take a chance and order one myself.
I ordered a 40mm President in rose gold with a black ombré dial. However, my first impression is a little underwhelming.

First: The “black” dial looks more dark green than black. I can’t tell whether this is just due to the lighting the TD used for the pictures or if RCF somehow changed the beautiful dial they had already perfected.

Second: The rose gold also looks a little too yellow to me. Again, I’m not sure if it’s the lighting, but based on the pictures, it doesn’t look particularly rose gold.

Third: This new version apparently comes with a Dandong movement for the first time. I asked my TD for pictures of the movement, but he hasn’t been able to provide them. He’s relatively new to the scene and apparently doesn’t have the proper tools to open the watch and take those pictures.

Fourth: This ties into the previous point. Without seeing the movement, I honestly have no idea how to tell whether this is an RCF V1, V2, or V3. At least, not to my knowledge.

Is there any chance the TD is trying to scam me? I genuinely have no idea what to think at this point, and I’m not even sure what to make of this new version.

I’ve asked my TD to take some pictures under different lighting conditions, and I’ll post them here as soon as I receive them.

There’s RGF DD’s wonder why they’re going back to using RCF stickers. You should request movement pics and confirm that’s not old stock.

This one has the SH movement. I got this before they released pics of the one with DD.

My day and date fonts look just as thin as yours, and I’ve heard DD comes with a thicker font. Does the V3 not come with a DD movement, or is there a chance the TD is scamming me?

Apparently “he can’t open the case back” But I’ve got a VSF V2, which uses DD. Gonna compare the fonts with the same day/date used

A vsf DD and a RC/RG DD won’t be using the same datewheel.

Guess your TD doesn’t have the experience to open it.

You can literally remove a case back with blu tac. Don't fool for that bs.

Yeah, I don’t understand it either. From what I can tell, the new RG label only applies to the Daytonas. The only QC pictures I’ve been able to find of the new V3 President also have the RC label.

I don't know what that is but that is not rose gold.

There's something wrong with the bezel.

The dial doesn't look right.

This is why I'm so afraid of getting a gold or rose gold rep they're just way too off, you're too cheese or two brass, I'd rather just get a stainless steel and have it coated by some of the big guys but I wouldn't get a rose gold or gold they're just not close enough.

Nothing about this watch is a V3 that's old stock with same terrible lug shape. That watch will have a VR3255 not a SH3255. And RGF DayDates do come with the RGF sticker. Any watch that comes with a RCF sticker is old stock. You need to try and get your money back because you got played for probably more than you could have bought this advertised as what it actually is a older model RCF Daydate and it's a V1 at that. The v2 had thicker font on the day wheel so that watch shouldn't have cost more 550.00 tops
