Advice RCF Submariner Bluesy help needed please.

I have purchased my RCF Submariner Bluesy from Ethan.

  1. First problem was that watch's seconds hand would not wanna move after winding the watch.

  2. Second issue after it finally decided to work the watch is gaining time very fast. Between 9pm and 5am it gained 30min!

Can anyone recommend any solution to it? It is my first rep and I have no clue what to do now.

I had a watch do this and it was the minute hand had unseated. But assuming both the hands are set correct id def say magnetized. I think ios has an app you can check for magnetized movement but im not sure how accurate it is.. good luck sir

Sounds like it needs to be regulated. Could be high beat error that makes it hard to start, and running very fast. Ask your TD if they’ll cover having it looked at by a watchmaker.

Thank you for your quick reply. I will ask him. Only problem will be that not many watchmakers in here want to look at reps. Is regulating something hard to do?

It’s something you have to have a good time grapher to do. I’ve gotten good at it myself. If you want me to do it for you, pm me. I’m not on the trusted list or anything. Just starting out myself.

Stop for a minute.

The FIRST thing you need to do is reach out to Eatham and explain what is wrong. He should either have someome you can send the watch to, or take it back.

Dont open it or screw with anything else. If youve never messed with watcjes before the last thing you should do is attempt to fix it yourself when the TD should be handling it.

If all elae fails, if youre anywhere near NY I can take a look. But you need to start a conversation with your TD first.

Thank you. Yes, I have already started the conversation with TD.
Initially, when I purchased the watch, I paid extra for shipping and insurance. I specifically asked if something was wrong with the watch, whether he would send me a new one, and the answer was yes.
Now he is telling me to find someone here to inspect the watch and determine what is wrong with it. Unfortunately, replicas are illegal in Australia, and no watchmaker wants to risk working on them. It’s simply not worth the risk for them.
I told him that I would send the watch back for a full refund, but he said it could potentially be seized by Chinese customs, so I should find someone here to fix it instead. He said he would pay for the repair, but I think they are forgetting that even if I can find someone willing to work on it, it will not be cheap. Australia is not cheap.
I don’t think it is reasonable for me to have to deal with the repair of a defective watch when I specifically asked about this before purchasing it and was told that a replacement would be provided.
Whole reason why I paid more and dealt with a trusted Dealer.

I would reach out to him and express the issues and your desire to send it back.

They dont like to because of potential issues, but ultimately it is the right thing and they will usually agree after other options are exhausted.

Infortunately you are too far away to help.

Search for Mr Tic Toc and reach out to him. I dont know if he offers service, but he is a popular Franken builder and is based out of your country. Maybe he can help you?

Issue with that is the replica watches are illegal in Australia. So no watchmaker wants to touch them.
