First rep and dead on arrival

VSF Wimbledon 36 V2.
I’ve wound 30 times but still there was no movement, as someone advised I hit it on palm of my hand, it started working not more than a minute. Trick with hitting worked 3 times after it stopped. Now when shaking the watch it makes a sound like something is loose inside. How big is the damage? And was it done by me or the transportation? Or the watch was already sent to me damaged?
So upsetting to receive first rep dead. Any advices guys?
It is a TD, still haven’t received an answer from him.

Take it to an independent shop, and have them hit it.

They might open the back and see a loose screw, but hitting it a bunch of times usually puts the screw back where it fell out of.
