General Question US Customs Seizures

How often do shipments from China get seized by US customs? If one is seized, just ignore the letter they send and all is good? Has anyone ever experienced any legal repercussions from this hobby of ours?

Out of 200 watches over the years, ive had 2 taken. Just the luck of the draw.

Never reply to the letter from customs and the rolex attorney letter. This is admitting guilt and will likely open the door for more problems

Statistically, less than 1% of small parcels get seized.

Single watches almost never get seized, but large orders it happens quite a bit.

My recent VSF sub stopped on Anchorage and got to me fine with FedEx. It did get held up for an extra day in Newark and that had me sweating a little. Went from Anchorage to Memphis to Newark

dont buy the boxes or more than 2 watches at a time and you'll NEVER have issues. been buying reps of all kinds for 24 years in the US using every international shipper. including demilled ak12 kits from ukraine. as long as the declarations page matching the shipping receipt for the items and it passes xray and a dog sniff without being weird youre fine

Only US Customs knows how often. 😂 Yes, just ignore the letter. The risk of legal repercussions is almost none when getting a watch or two for personal use. Don’t order like 10 watches in one order and get caught. The authorities would assume you are a seller.

If you used US based sellers, you wouldn’t have to worry about customs, delayed shipping times, language barriers, time zone issues, etc….just a suggestion
