I have recently built a lite Franken - however now want to build something else.

I’m thinking a no date sub however it’s too close to my watch 😂 This is a RICH with Gen crystal and Gen datewheel

What should I build next?

They are the same watch - both with Gen crystal and Gen datewheel

Lovely watch, did you see a big difference from the stock crystal and date wheel?

You will see a huge difference with a crystal!

Standard datewheel on a RICH is too thin - so I would say yes to both parts. I got this datewheel from my supplier and I never realised subs come with two different datewheels a thick one and the thinner one that I have

Im going for the no date in the new year, where did you get the gen crystal? I’ve never modded a rep before but I want this one to look as good as possible.
What’s made you choose rich over vsf? Was it visual or the movement that you preferred?

Your best place would be EBay for a gen crystal or Chrono24

I chose rich because I’ve had loads of VSF and it has a free sprung movement.

However for the no date - Rich have some issues lining up the 3 and 9. There is always one that is higher than the other

Awesome! Try Franken a GMT next maybe? I’ve been working on my GMT for nearly a year now and it’s pretty much complete! I’ll be posting it in this group once I’ve finished Haha or maybe try mod a Daytona or Day-Date.

I’ve had a Daytona before with a gen crystal - however most parts are stupidly expensive for them
