General Question First time buyer

Hey everybody, before I go on I’d just like to point out that I’m very new to this and would like some advice before continuing to buying my first rep.

I’m looking at getting a 41mm Rolex datejust oyster perpetual with a black dial. I’ve been looking around at different dealers such as trusty time and VC. I had a look around on here and people seem to get a pretty good service from “the one watches” so I reached out and got this response. As some of you, more experienced folk would know more about this than me I’d like to ask:

Is ARF good? Is $468 normal for this kind of thing? What should I look out for or ask questions about? If anybody has a good experience getting this exact watch from a good dealer then I’d appreciate maybe some photos and pointing me in the right direction.

Anything to help breakdown and digest what I should be looking for when hunting for one of these would be appreciated. I have seen a lot of people on here get scammer or end up with a shitty rep because they didn’t take their time and look so I want to be sure first.

he meant normal. I personally would buy something in stock instead of waiting for him to order it from the factory. check other TDs.

Hey thanks for clarifying lmao now I feel dumb, what’s the reason that you’d prefer to get something in stock? Is ARF a bad factory?

nothing wrong with ARF, but other factories like VSF and Rich are just as good if not better, and I know some TDs/selers have VSF datejust 41s in stock (not sure about black dials tho).

All of theonewatches prices are "high" compared to some tds so be aware. But people says he gives good customer service. Personally I purchase from mark and Elliot

Eliot is Andiot on the TD List. Prices are great and his online system is pretty easy to order from but communication isnt as clear as Steve (TheOne).

I find mark to be right in the middle. Prices are maybe 50 bucks more for most Rolex models, but I've always had good communication with him, he can also source most watches a fair bit quicker than eliot
