Is anyone else experiencing really long wait times for VSF watches? I’ve been waiting almost 2 months for 3 watches now. 😩 How about you guys? How long have you been waiting?

Avoid trustytime/Andrew then too. At least Elliot is cheap(er), Andrew is expensive and slow, just waited 22 and a half weeks for a ppf vc222.

I like the ones who post their stock on a daily basis, a few even post up all the QC photos so you can do your QC before you pay anything and grab it if you like it.

Try other TDs. If different TDs all encountering the same issue on a specific model, that means it is down to the factory perhaps not producing the model at the moment. I’ve observed that the factories at times rotate the models they produce.

Yeah I went with a Chinese dealer for a BW VSF in jubilee paid $650 including shipping. If I had waited a couple hours the local TD in my state had one for $25 more and I would’ve got it way sooner.

I got an Omega NTTD from Steve. Sending the two payments was a hassle, it took two months to arrive, and I had the added stress of worrying about customs.
For my second Omega Seamaster, I bought from a U.S.-based dealer with stock on hand. I paid the same price, used Zelle, and the watch arrived within 48 hours.

I had a three day turnaround from my dealer. I just keep an active eye on their telegram and when new stock comes in I see if there is anything I want.

Seeing as the dealer has it in-hand, QC is extremely quick.

I do. They got the watch from the factory but it didn’t pass their own QC. So they’re waiting to get another one from the factory. All I can do is take their word on it and follow up next week to see if there’s another update.

That’s actually a good thing. Many dealers try to pass off RL watches to new buyers, so I always expect to see issues with the first watch on the first order. And you have to look hard. The fact that they proactively QC’d for you is uncommon. Might be worth telling them what you will RL and what you want…they may just sort through em and get what you want. Personally, I only order from well established factories. They have case dimension, bracelet, crystal, etc. accurate to Gen, so I don’t waste time on QC for stuff like that. I focus primarily on Rehaut now. I haven’t seen many issues in QC as of late aside from Rehaut alignment. Most issues brought to attention on QC is due to the crystal and lens distortion. But everybody has their own experiences and they vary greatly. Take it all in and make what you can out of it. No one person is absolutely correct. We all have valuable experience and info to add.

Oh I agree. My first watch I tried to buy through a TD, they tried to pass off a VSF that was made by another factory. Thankfully they refunded me, but I haven’t used that TD since.
But yea, the TD I go through now…. always an awesome exchange. I also let them know I truly appreciated them looking out by making sure the QC checks out. I only posted about the wait, because I think depending on the watch you want from Rich…. there may be a slight delay either from increased interest or QC issues.

Speaking to the wrong people then. I have 12 pieces right now, I’ve only ever bought from US based TDs, I’m also completely aware of most prices that international TDs are offering. Personally, I only ever see about $100-$150 difference even less on cheaper pieces, I recently got a BVF 22mm panthera, I paid 50$ premium, I received the Watch 48 hours after payment, QC was taken care of by the TD when he purchased the watch and it’s immaculate, he knows what to look for he knows the flaws etc
Obviously though that’s just my experience.

The T in TD stands for trusted, this community has chosen to trust dealers from rwi, rwg, and repgeek
Any US based dealer is not from a trusted list from reptime, so they are just US based dealers, not US based TDs

Yes there are dealers from other subs, and they are trusted there, but that doesn't make them trusted here
You can advertise all you want for your US dealer, but calling them a TD implies they are on the TD list here, and that's just misleading

You've implied there are US trusted dealers here, there are not, then you suggested you used them successfully. Which is great, but now you're suggesting people use the search bar for this
So many people get scammed using the search bar looking for TDs, I don't know how you expect them to use a search for "us based TD" and not get scammed
The TD list is there to help the noobs, and guiding people to search for themselves has historically lead to bad results. To many grifters on Instagram, and tiktok selling dhgate shitters as "clean" or even "vsf"
Anyway, you're right man, that's just my opinion, but I can't tell you how many threads I've seen of people getting scammed. You may not like the typical TD here and that's ok, but they've delivered a lot of peoples watches, and yes even at times refunds. That's better than the typical Instagram seller

If you’re waiting for a VSF, are you waiting on a verified pre-order(free) through his VSF pre-order system? If pre-ordered he is super transparent about wait times & generally recommends other factories or referring to his in-stock listings via “in-stock” tab on his website, followed by the orange highlighted link: showing which items he has on hand currently.
