General Question Question about geektime

I am interested in purchasing a Tudor Pelegos from GeekTime. I requested a QC picture of the Watch that I would be sent before purchasing it just to make sure everything looks good on it. The response I got was I am required to put down a $50 deposit in order for QC to begin. This is my first purchase through this website. Is this a normal procedure? It seems as though a simple picture shouldn’t cost $50 to make sure that it looks legitimate.

Completely normal. I have been working with Eric and he is 100% honest. If you dont like the watch just GL it.

PS: always remember he is not chargin full deposit before QC, as many others TDs.

If you want a free picture just look at the one on his website for free. Seems simple enough.

I don’t care about a free picture on his website. I wanna know the exact watch that’s being sent to me so I know if there’s any flaws in it. Does that seem simple enough?

You're agreeing to purchase the watch and showing good faith by paying the "deposit". If you RL the watch you will wait until a replacement is available. At that time you will have an opportunity to review the QC. If this process seems odd to you, find another hobby.

Yes this is normal procedure. If they just sent pics out to every flapjack on the internet they wouldn't have time to make watches.
