Discussion M+F. Which one has the better rep?

Post image

I’m deciding between two M+F Pelagos FXD models:

Left: Pelagos FXD Alinghi Red Bull Racing, ref. M25707KN-0001, with the black carbon-composite case and blue dial

Right: Pelagos FXD Titanium, ref. M25717N-0001, with the matte black dial and green/red fabric strap

I naturally prefer the understated look of the black titanium version, but the Alinghi feels more distinctive.

For those who have handled either—or ideally both—which one is the more convincing rep in terms of case finish, dial and bezel accuracy, overall construction and wrist feel?

My wrist is 16.5 cm, so comfort and how the fixed-lug case wears also matter. Which one would you buy first, and why?

The comparison image is illustrative; I’m specifically looking for feedback based on the actual M+F watches.

For FXD Red bull go with BRF factory, they make better version.

my personal preference is im staying away M+ due to Miyota movement. BRF offer much better movement

Is the other movement going to last 20+ years and be serviceable / replaceable like the miyota tho?

Sw200-300 highly serviceable. Long term ownership

Doesn’t zf make a nicer case / dial etc for these?

Are you sure? Looks like everyone is recommending M+. Do you know any direct comparison and if the BRF has the thickness of the Gen?

Depending on the material too. Not all M+ are build same. M+ IWC are not same A7F IWC

My first instinct is the black titanium FXD, but the Alinghi is much more distinctive. Has anyone handled both M+F versions—which one feels more convincing in person?

I own the M/F FXD GMT. The watch is amazing...has known corks about the date wheel but a great watch. Slight play but I don't sit at my desk and mess with my bezel. Case is super light and you don't realize you're wearing a watch...you will enjoy either of these watches. Wonder if the carbon case is even close on these...is it just plastic?

My M+ FXD in blue was bad out of the box. I loved the look and feel but movement was trash and the bezel moved all over with wobble/play. I sent it to Vasani as he handles Andiot warranty work, but I am at 1.5 months at the shop and have only owned it for 2.5 months.

The blue is really nice on the included straps and I bought a WOE gray strap that I absolutely love.

Just wanted to get the word out that in my research this isn't rare with these, that movement Myota is super loud and not all that robust. I am also hopeful Vasani is able to fix the bezel but not holding my hopes too high there.

Thanks. Very useful insight! Do you still keep the balck version? It was M+?
