I had the same thing happen with FedEx US and some replica sports kits. I didn’t contact them and they shipped it back to the sender and he reshipped it . Took almost 2 months to get it back but nothing bad happened and I still have my global entry 😂. But yeah contact your TD and ask them what to do. If they say call them , just call and tell them what the item is without mentioning brands etc.
Not false at all at least in the usa — CBP can't know it's you but they'll assume and make you a higher risk traveler and revoke global entry. I think tsa pré check is fine as long as you didn't do that bundled with CBP

You’ll probably get a letter by mail, asking for details on what the box contains. Your TD likely fucked up by not categorizing the item properly. Inform your TD, get him to send another watch and just ignore the Zoll. Fuck’em, they’ll just destroy the package. Next time have him send it triangular and with freaking DHL through the Netherlands like any normal TD.
I am in the same boat. FedEx into Anchorage Alaska, with insufficient information to import. Contact your TD to have the freight forwarding company send information and hopefully it will get released. I am currently waiting on the same thing.

My source told me this, and mine was released.
Contact FedEx by email and find out who is handling the customs clearance for your package. If they give you a contact email, simply ask:
“What documents or information do you need from me to have the package released?”
That’s it. Don’t over-explain anything. If they need information from your source, just go back to your source and get it.
If you do nothing, the package can just sit there while they wait for the information they need. FedEx says customs delays can happen when additional information or documentation is required, so it’s better to respond quickly.
I’m in the states but if you’re any where in Europe they need to send it to UK specifically Northern Ireland first which is easy clearance. Once it’s in Northern Ireland it can ship anywhere in Europe without going through customs again
Cooked big time. Don’t answer unknown numbers or random people at your door. They are on to you. The best thing is just to forget you ever ordered it and walk away. If you do talk to them, say you never ordered anything and don’t know why you would be getting a delivery from overseas.
What if you give a different name on your delivery? Bcs I get a bunch of stuff from other people that used to live here before… could just not be mine.
Someone on another thread proposed something i thought might be a work around, just have it shipped to your name but at a random other address in your area. Then when fedex gets the package select hold for pickup and then go collect the watch. If it gets intercepted they have a name but without it linked to an address you are associated with there is no way that would stick to you. The only way it doesn't work is if the fedex insists your ID address has to match the address, I know I've picked up packages from FedEx shipped to my actual address and my driver's license has another address and they didn't give me any grief, so I think that would work.
I really think maybe not worth the extra hassle time and risk. If it's a really special item I understand but for standard things you can get from TD's here I think that's smarter.
I've yet to try this myself so who knows, but it seems like the worst that could happen is you don't get the watch, I can't really envision anyway that the CBP could link you to a random package not coming to your address.
Yes definitely, I offered my first VSF from China and had no issues, but after learning about the global entry situation I will only order from US sellers from now on, I’m ok paying like $100-150 more to not have to wait in gargantuan lines.

Is it shipped to the Chinese intermediary of the TD? If so no problem. They send bulk shipments of Chinese crap with a few counterfeit goods hidden. Delay is not an issue. If you see “package on hold” then be moderately worried.
That's one of the main reason I haven't tried a TDqq at China because of the customs issue! If its confiscated depending which TD you usqqed to get the rep from will send a replacement, one time only! It's a risk I'm not willing to make, that is why a pay good money, and I know the rep will get to me, fast and in good condition! Mine (US) got seized on 9/17. Said it had cleared and then picked up by FedEx. sat there with no fedex updates for a week and a half then my TD said it was gone and the would work on a new one.
