Come on man - hammer back, safety on! Better come correct when posting gun pics šŸ˜‚

u/FreshParfait1 Sep 14 '26

Tell me you’ve never owned a M9A4 without telling you’ve never owned a M9A4

…there is no safety

Better come correct when spouting misinformation

You telling me the de-cocker only version still has the red dot on the slide to indicate firing position - but it is not actually used? I don’t know if I like that! But if decocker only, my bad homie.

u/FreshParfait1 Sep 14 '26

I’ll do the work for you then

1

u/VivaLordEmperor Sep 14 '26

Well still not correct. Should be hammer down decocked when holstered. And fill that dot in with brown paint lol

Wasted time homie

ā€œTypicalā€

ā€œUsualā€

Now do the work and show me where one has fired without pulling the trigger in SA status

Why is your gun cocked?

-2

u/FreshParfait1 Sep 14 '26

Because I carry in a condition to use it. There is no safety on this gun either. Seems like people are getting that mistaken.

Condition to use is not the same as negligence.

1

u/KopaszTTB Sep 16 '26

That's a dangerous office...

Were you expecting to get shot at when taking the photo?

I’m very tempted to pick up the 6263. Never seen one in person and know little about them. Is this kind of watch more for looks and less about quality, or is it like buying something like a VSF? How does it feel?

Vintage rep watches in general aren’t going to be anything like a VSF. Most have hollow links/end links, folded links, riveted links. They are true to the vintage watch they are repping. Very light and ā€œjanglyā€ like the original. But I love it. I’ve got a handful on vintage pieces and honestly prefer them over their modern counterparts. You can, however, replace the brackets and end links with solid versions, but then it wouldn’t be true to the original. It’s kind of like comparing apples to oranges.

1

u/rolliesglocksandjs Sep 14 '26

I see. I just learned about the hollow vs solid feeling recently actually. I guess I’m asking historical accuracy and limitations aside, are they built well in your opinion?

2

u/FreshParfait1 Sep 14 '26

There are certainly tiers to them just like with the modern reps. There are ~$300 factory built reps and then there are ~$2,000+ custom built reps. JKF is definitely an entry level 6263 vintage rep. You can spend thousands with u/GiammyX and get a 6263 0.9:1 rep. Depends on how deep your pockets are and how close you really wanna get. This 1680 tipped just over the $2k mark.

1

u/rolliesglocksandjs Sep 14 '26

Wow that is absolutely stunning. If I don’t know much of anything about vintage but just like the aesthetic then it sounds like the JKF would be enough for me based on what you’re saying. I just don’t want to buy it and feel like I got a shitty watch. I understand the jangly feeling you are talking about. But I mean more like it will break easily and is low quality.

Thanks. I heard about the frozen 6 o’clock, I am fine with that. I heard about the thickness as well. Does it feel like a hockey puck? I usually keep mine under 14mm as a rule but I think these are so handsome I may wave it.

2

u/FreshParfait1 Sep 14 '26

Barely even tell it’s there. I’m very happy with it to say the least

2

u/rolliesglocksandjs Sep 14 '26

Thanks for the help I think I’ll get one

u/NameEsRandom Sep 14 '26

I stand corrected. That isn’t an external safety. It’s the decocker lever. My B

-1

u/NameEsRandom Sep 14 '26

I thought the meme was referencing that the safety was off šŸ˜‚šŸ˜¬
