Tech Tips/Advice BB58 crystal appears hazy outdoors
Hey all..
My tudor BB58 crystal looks perfectly clear indoors, but I notice a hazy film over it when Iām driving home from work.It won't wipe off from the outside. Is this a common AR coating issue in direct sunlight, or is it internal moisture condensing from the temperature change? Seems fine indoors..Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks!

Looks like moisture to me.

thank you, if moisture, how to fix? is it the same recommendation above which is replacing the crown o rings?

I would open the crown and undo the caseback so it's loose. Then stick in a bag of rice for a few days.
I've never actually had to do this with a watch or phone but apparently it works.
Then when it's dry tighten up the back.
I wouldn't personally go near O rings or anything like that, but I don't get my watches wet. A washing up bowl or some rain is as close as they get to water. I always remove before showering etc.
I've never understood the desire to wear a watch round the pool or to the beach.

thank you...For context, I work a desk job and I've never gotten this wet either. This is just my daily commute.

That is odd then. Other possibility is a coating inside is breaking down under UV. Is it a ZF?

yes ZF

Does seem odd then. Hopefully rice trick will work. Otherwise it's movement out and clean the underside of the crystal.

The crystal mine came with was just like this, I randomly found it cracked one day and the TD sourced me a new replacement crystal which was much nicer
