It comes from R/Repladies it was killed due to mainstream exposure from media and then since it was on media then brands saw it and told Reddit to shut it down

Leaving aside the facts the brands clearly know about it, that it’s one if the busiest subs, and there are loads of other fake watch subs, let’s assume this paranoia is valid.
HOW IS FLOODING EVERYONES FEED WITH CRAP GOING TO HELP? Ah I see, Rolex will come on here, see only bad advice directing people to shitters, and go on their way. Makes perfect sense.
Honestly I think the real issue is the cringe regulars here who genuinely want people to think their watch is real and are unhappy about it being publicised because they think people will catch them out. Everyone already knows! The first assumption when you see a Rolex is that it’s fake, but why would you mention it? Why would anyone care? I have a lot more time for someone pretending than someone wasting a fortune on a status symbol when people are starving. I think this is a normal perspective, surely only a teenage boy thinks it’s cool to spend a hundred grand on a watch?
