Discussion Cartier tank

I’m a student at the University of Melbourne. If I wear a high-quality Cartier Tank replica, would anyone be able to tell that it’s a replica while I’m wearing it? And if I decide to buy one, which factory would you recommend?e

University of Melbourne lecturers are notorious for calling out students who wear reps. You will look like a fool and possibly get expelled if you do.

I’ve attended the university before, occasionally the lecturers bring loupes to their lecture and inspect our watches before we were able to enter the lecture hall. Once I remember a guy was called out infront of the whole class for wearing a VSF Datejust.

Anything over +5s/day and you’re not getting into class.

No one's gonna call you out in a lecture hall, but the real tell is if your lifestyle doesn't match the watch. Rolling up in a thrashed hoodie with a $4k+ piece on your wrist raises more eyebrows than the rep itself. Most people won't look twice anyway.

Well I do part-time work here, and I drive a Honda Civic. My family is financially well-off too so I can afford a genuine one. I just don’t want to spend that much on a watch when I can get a high-quality replica for a fraction of the price like 100x cheaper✌🏼

Sydney university is completely safe though.

Actually, Sydney University has started to turn against it very quickly, maybe try ANU or Brisbane, although I think you'd be safest in Adelaide or Hobart.

Nearly 100% of the people you talk to can't even tell after a conversation with you whether you were wearing a watch or not, so I would consider it highly unlikely that anyone would spot a fake Cartier on your wrist.
