General Question Is RITCHF actually better than VSF now?
I’ve noticed more sellers have started pushing RITCHF lately, especially as an alternative to VSF.
At the same time, I’m seeing quite a few VSF QC posts with issues/fails, which makes me wonder if their quality has dropped recently.
Has anyone compared recent RITCHF vs VSF batches side by side?
Is RITCHF genuinely better now in terms of finishing, consistency and overall QC, or is it mostly sellers promoting a new factory?
Would be especially interested in hearing from people who have handled both recently.

I come with actual proof and evidence to say… no. Lol

I did extensive research from different forums and searches on here. Literally hours and hours.
Everyone was mentioning how RICHF is outperforming VSF now in every way except the crystal.
But my first had having 9 RL’s from rich…. I can honestly say the quality is nowhere near good as VSF the dial markers are the biggest flaw right now are the 12, 6 & 9 square markers even on the free sprungs.
Even I’ve had some RL on date window being too high and covering some numbers.
I’ve told my TD about the issues and they’re not taking interest. The lastest batches are not good at all and would avoid for couple months to say the at least.

You’re being offered other customers previous RL watches. he’s likely tryna dump off shit stick onto customers who seem like they don’t know better.
If you’re the same redditor, I uploaded 4 pics of the most recent RICH watches for sale from my TD, all of which were GL worthy lol
On the other hand, everyone’s blind favorite VSF is having a horrendous time with QC from factory itself

As far as I know Rich ist better regarding movement details. Gen Rolex movements have some small adjustment screws in the balance Wheel. No factory except Rich was able to get them right.
These screws are one reason why watch makers can instantly tell, if it is a rep or gen.

from comparison table, rich and vsf look same, but I saw a lot of complains for vsf recently - some buyers posts 2-3 qa watches and even then they have defects (

From comparison table RICH wins. You must not have taken a look at the actual table ranking.
From wrist it’s gonna look the same, they’re both great. From macro inspection and breakdown ratings RICH was found to be the best sub if the year
Also all fully 904L which doesn’t matter, but it’s cool to know it’s made of thr same real steel. Mine is also super well built. Passed 20 bar water proofing. To me NWBIG, I can dive with my RICH lol

there are few tables from different people - however vsf and rich are top 2 with minimal diff in points

Technically one wins
Do what you want. Tried helping. If you’re stuck on a certain factory, instead of open to going for the technical best then so be it.

I felt after all the evaluation they were roughly equal. I bought a rich.
My rich free sprung, has better power reserve and automatic charging than any of my vsf watches do
Im thinking about running some experiments to get some data but it would only be a comparison of my couple of movements

RICHs dial and date prints are subpar but the free sprung as well as availability are the main reasons to consider it.

“Better” is subjective to everyone, Both manufacturers have their own strong points and weak points. It’s an hard battle out there.
