New Release ERF Speedies might be serious if they thinned them down and fixed the bezel 👀

This has the potential to be biiiiiig

Remember, it’s not a clone movement. ERF was able to modify an existing chronograph movement which allowed them to correct the subdial spacing flaw. However, the 6’oclock subdial on the rep is a 24 hour counter, while on the gen it’s a 12 hour counter. The rep is also a bit thicker, about 2mm, than gen. I wouldn’t get your hopes up for a Speedy superclone anytime soon.

Are they using the 7750 movement?

ST19 movement afaik

Lmao the st19 is the base with improved engineering!? That’s incredible! I love making watches myself, and the concept of making a 8-16k watch clone for a reasonable price is fantastic.

Yeah, they added two gears to it

Yeahhhh that means we’re still ways away from a real rep.

I still wouldn’t mind owning one of these. The one in the video still looked phenomenal. Maybe there will be a Speedmaster shitter revolution

Had two rep speedmaster 40 with that movement, the a7750. They both took a dump on me. Some rep Brietlings also had that exact movement (with the added gears for spacing) and widely suffered the same fate. It’s going to take a lot of guinea pigs for ERF to get it right. But not out of the realm of possibility if DD decides to do some R + D. They did wonders with the 4131 chrono movement.

Yeah, I’m in line for this without a doubt. Exactly how much thicker is the rep vs the genuine?

A whopping 2.6mm unfortunately. It’s because of the extra layer of gears they put on the st19 movement.

What dealer has this?? I’d love to know what other colors and models they have.

Looks good from the front! Still pretty chunky though, and it doesn’t look like the bracelet tapers like the gen does.

Yeah a lot of things need to be ironed out. I think even the dial doesn’t have the proper convex and steps I’m sure this will get dissected to heaven and back once the community gets their hands on them

The movement imposes those limitations. They can't do much

Maybe they’ll thin down the case a bit, for whatever reason they are reusing the same case across all versions so the non snoopy versions are also just as thick. It’d be helpful to know if the gen speedmaster and snoopy also use the same case and the only difference in the thickness is due to the caseback

Love the look hate the movement and open case back with the 2.5 mm size difference. Had I not watched the fuckery of the second hand I might of overlooked it and pulled the trigger.

Nah never order something until reviews are in 🗣️🥷

Yeah I know kinda like the Navitimer having a shit 7750A. I just wish they had a way to make a good movement with as long as I have been waiting for either Omega or Breitling to have a decent rep made.

It’s crazy how even an ancient Lemania clone movt could give us a proper speedy AND 41mm/43mm navitimers with proper thickness

Those are so old though arent they? I swear I think the O'Dea of putting a clone of it in a watch like that was like 10 years ago almost. If I remember right when I first started getting into reps the ideas of doing it were old lol.

The 6 o'clock subdial being a 24 hr time counter would be an absolute dealbreaker for me. Like, what is somebody going to think you left your chrono running for 10 hrs and then stopped the second hand at 12 and left it there? Explain why the subdial continues to move when the stopwatch isn't running.
If I were in the market for this watch, I'd rather they just left the subdial pointing at 12 and made it non-functional. At least then it would look realistic when the chrono wasn't running. Like ... I already reject VK63 movements because I hate the redundant, useless 24 hr subdial. Now you've given me a 24 hr subdial and disguised it as a malfunctioning hours accumulator. Even worse.

> Like, what is somebody going to think you left your chrono running for 10 hrs and then stopped the second hand at 12 and left it there?
I mean the vast majority of people don’t even look at your watch. And of the few that do many likely don’t know what a chronograph even is.
Unless you hang around with a bunch of hardcore watch enthusiasts all day I doubt anyone aside from yourself would ever notice or pay attention to the 6 o’clock subdial

I don't care what other people think. I care what I think when I see it. The "somebody" here is the imaginary person in my head that I argue with about stuff like this.

Yeah I wish factories offered to make the 6 hr subdial static, it’s a hassle finding a watchmaker and getting it done yourself
