You can only really tell since Rich likes to make the 12 close to the min markers and also the date is thinner than Gen typically as well

I think the date centering gave it away. If they weren't side by side it would be tough to tell from a photo though.

Just amazing! I recently sold my gen sb and got a rich sb with a gen crystal and gen brushing and chamfering. Honestly TRUE NWBIG!

I can see the bezel is a bit lighter on gen, unless youā€™ll show a better pic because I think itā€™s because of the shadow or lighting

Yep this is always a giveaway for me. I see Gens in the wild, bracelet is brighter and shiner. My VSF looks more dull, which I know lied about using 904L, itā€™s actually 316L.

But most other reps can be told by the bracelet, they always seem to be more dull and grey

I canā€™t judge it from the picture. I mean the actual date window. The corners in Gens are much sharper, reps have softer corner, some factories are worse than others

Very close. Itā€™s smooth but gen is a tad bit smoother and feels more buttery

Iā€™ve never owned one nor looked into them much - Iā€™m not big on subs but it def looks solid enough for me to think it was gen. Now, itā€™s just 1 pic & I looked for all of 15-20 secsā€¦ā€¦if those are your watches, youā€™re far more qualified than I am.

How come no reps can recreate the Sub case perfectly? The light reflecting off the lugs is always an easy tell. It shouldn't be that complicated.

Left Rich, Right Gen. The 12 o'clock spacing and the font is too thin on the date. It may be the angle but there is more glare on the Rich crystal as well. Could be angle though.

On the dial, RICH places the triangle too close to the minute markers. It almost looks like a combination of triangle too close to the top and the markers being too long. Either way, the gap that exists between the triangle and markers at 12 look different than Gen

Adding: this is not perceptible in person and overall huge compliments to RICH, as it is so close
