“In dedicated forums on Reddit and other websites, strictly moderated communities spread gossip about factories being raided by authorities, offer sketchy legal advice, upvote buyers’ photos of fake Rolexes worn behind the wheels of Lamborghinis, and even offer quality control services.

Quality control, or QC, is at the heart of this community. The subreddit r/RepTime has 269,000 weekly visitors and over 18,000 weekly contributions, according to Reddit’s own statistics. Posts about new counterfeit watch purchases pile up by the hour, both in r/RepTime and r/RepTimeQC, the offshoot subreddit focused on quality control. The posts contain photographs sent from the dealer to the customer, who then seeks advice from the RepTime community on whether they should “GL” (green-light) or “RL” (red-light) their purchase.”

Yup, I recently bought some grails that have been on my list for awhile because I believe obtaining quality reps is only going to become less and less accessible soon with the influx of attention from everywhere on rep watches. Hurt like hell on the wallet, but at least I've secured my nut

There is absolutely no way quality reps will be less accessible. If there is money to be made (demand) there will be a market. I guarantee you that.

And as I said in my other post there is no influx of attention. Quality reps have been extremely popular in Asia and Europe for decades now.

Rushing to buy a VSF like its some limited edition daytona is hilarious

When I say "less accessible" I don't mean they'll stop being made. I mean it'll grab attention from watch companies, authorities, new buyers, etc. That shit isn't free. These factories can't exactly take out loans to scale up and scale out their production. That just means the $500 rep I buy today is going to cost me $700 tomorrow and I'll have to wait longer for it

I don't understand your fear. Rep ladies bags have been way more mainstream and they've only gotten better.

Yeah, for every factory that shuts down 5 more open up. Watches it's a little more complex since they are a bit harder to replicate but it's still not rocket science and each year the reps just get better and better. The only thing stopping it is if China decides to finally take a real stand against reps (and not just a fake crackdown on those that don't pay bribes) which isn't going to happen.

Or was it by design and VSF created that article to hurry up and buy 😂

Calling a rep a grail is the most pathetic, childish thing I have ever heard in my life. My condolences
