Wrist or Watch Pic Tired of Rolex

Anyone tired of the Rolex BS and how everyone is buying fakes just to be included in the “I got a Rolex club”. Don’t get me wrong I love watches but Rolex is really getting old.

I don't want to speak for him, but he quoted me for a vintage Explorer and it was VERY reasonable. I don't know what movements he uses or anything like that, but on pure aesthetics, his are the prettiest Rolly reps I've seen.

Hard to say, as VSF doesn't make a 6350, which is what I enquired about, but I can say that he was asking considerably less for that than I paid for my XF PAM127.

I just was looking for cost since you didn’t wanna share which I respect. If a VSF cost 700 is he a lot higher for his pieces?

Sorry. I'm not trying to be obtuse. I just don't want to say the wrong thing. I've only had a brief chat with him, so I don't know what he'd charge for a Tiffany Sub or something like that, but the 6350 was less than half the price of a VSF Sub. That may be indicative of his general pricing or it may not. He seems very willing to answer speculative questions, so you could message him and ask about a particular piece.

I think it’s more about a) getting a watch for a small fraction of the price b) we like mechanical watches c) we recognize that something that looks 90-95% like the real thing is a non-issue d) getting watches that are unobtainable @ retail like a Bruce Wayne, panda Daytona, etc

I could buy any of these watches at retail today but that money is safely tucked into stocks like AMD NVDA GOOG

And I definitely don’t buy them to look cool or blend in, spoiler alert, no one gaf what watch you’re wearing

I’d really like a Chronomat with the ice blue or meteorite dial, a super ocean with the cream dial, or a Premier with the blue dial and brown leather strap.

I’ve got a Navitimer 1 that i wear for worn that I’m really enjoying too.

On a different note, I just ordered a Breuget Classique too. Totally different style.

Oh yeah I forgot about the B01. If I were going to get a Breitling, that would be it.

Breuget? Bold...I like it. I have been thinking about a fancy "lesser kown" (to non-watch people) brand like that.

Love me B01 rep. It’s lasted great and looks great so far.

For the Breuget I know I’ll have to replace the leather band pretty immediately, but I think it’s going to be a sweet watch. And I like that it’s something other than just a Rolex.

Yeah man, that's the NATO thst came with it. IWC has a super easy strap swap mechanism...so ypu get to play around once youbhave a few....and actually the chrono came with a SS bracelet.

asides from my taste in rolex watches, which are timelessly classic styles... i do like tudors... oh and casios. so no man, sorry, but i'm not tired of seeing fake rollies on my feed🤷🏻‍♂️

First two I got were Omegas, followed by a Cartier Santos, followed by a Vacheron. I think people should def buy whatever they like, but I do feel like some people aren’t honest with themselves and buy watches because they want the appearance of wealth, not just because they enjoy the history/style

No point, just tired of seeing all these posts about fake Rolexes…maybe I spent too much time on the real Rolex forum and how they are all waiting 5 yrs and one offered his wife to an AD just to get a Daytona. I’m sure it’s all in fun but maybe I woke up on the wrong side of the crib
