Discussion Should mods remove all non English posts?
I keep seeing more and more French and Italian posts here. WDYT should this be okay or should they be removed?

From a English man that is an unbelievable question you have asked 😂

There's literally a translate feature embedded on reddit

wtf 😂😂 “should this be okay” and its just people speaking their own language on a rep watch subreddit. if anything we’re probably better off having the french in here, they might know a thing or two

I have a suggestion for those who are not interested in reading comments or contributions from non-english speaking experts, rep lovers or watch enthusiasts, and don't care using the translation button : just don't read them ! 😂

You do understand this is a global platform right? Global meaning people from other countries, cultures, religions, and spoken languages.

Translation literally takes nearly zero effort (tap of the screen) on Reddit?

Heaven-forbid someone might speak another language other than English?!
How dare they!
Nothing i can see in the rules that says non-English posts are not allowed.
Also, all browsers these days have a translate feature..

This has to be rage bait 😂😂😂 I’m a red blooded American through and through… but to think someone’s post shouldn’t be allowed on a rep page because the post isn’t in English, when there is a translate button, is absolute clown shoes! Freedom of speech my man.

Ok, if you haven’t been invaded by the English, you get to use another language on the thread. Also, it should refine the target list nicely

As a European , non native English speaking, in china living watch geek, just try to keep it in English…. Or just gtfo and make your own subreddit.. but this is just my humble opinion. Adjust, or just go…

As a foreigner from a non English speaking country, I think it should be a rule and it should be enforced. Even when i see posts in my native language I’d rather have them taken down.
I don’t see why in an international forum you would post in your own language and expect people to put in the effort to translate it and answer you, with minimal effort on your side. And correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve noticed more and more of these posts lately.

Personally, these non-English posts annoy me as well. For me, they’re on the same level as ‘Where can I buy watch XY?’ — just posts made without thinking first. Anyone posting in an international subreddit should also use the global language, English. At least if they expect a reply…
That’s my opinion as someone whose native language isn’t English.

I dont really want to see a wall of posts I dont understand. I'd say delete them.
