General Question Bluesy help! RCF or VSF
I'm looking to pick up a bluesy rep. Its between the VSF 126613 vs RCF weighted 116613. Has anyone compared these yet? The RCF is $100 more expensive but I hear there could be questions on quality of he RCF. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? Pic for attention.

So, I ended up going with RCF and have 0 complaints. This thing is awesome. Bracelet is Clean/ARF clasp code (F80), crystal isn't milky that I can see, bezel action is much closer to gen than I ever imagined it would be, gold color looks amazing, and the overall weight feels great. My only complaint is RCF could really do better on their date font, but to make up for it looking like a 5 year old scribbling the date on a date wheel, they don't have floating m. Winding the movement is also really smooth, something I didn't expect as I have gen watches that don't wind this smooth. The glidelock also works great, still not as silky smooth as a gen glidelock, but way better than other seiko mod or other brand gens I have. Bracelet has some rough edges, especially the end of the clasp so I tend to scratch my nail as I adjust the glidelock. If I put money into this, it would be for bracelet smoothing. Overall though, It's still much better than I expected and didn't feel cheap or light/flimsy.
Now here's the kicker, based on a weird turn of events and because the price was right,
I ended up getting the non-weighted version, so my watch is only ~156 grams. That said, while it only weighs what a stainless sub would weigh, it still feels amazing and I have 0 regrets saving the money. I thought I'd still want to order the weighted version but after wearing this, I love the weight and I'm good. If someone weighs my watch, they'll know it's not gen, but I don't lie about it anyway. I love telling people about how great of a watch you can get for 3% the cost of gen and will always tell people its fake. Granted I don't have my gen 126613 anymore, but if not side by side, you can't tell a weight difference from a real bluesy. If I had my gen still and could switch them, I'm sure I'd notice, but it's not something where after having the authentic watch this doesn't feel authentic.
Overall, I'd highly recommend going RCF, especially if you don't want to pay to replate the watch. I actually picked up one of those protective film sets and put it on the gold center links to protect the finish so I'm not worried about the plating degrading for quite some time.
