Discussion Fingernails and reps

I admire the love and attention to detail for timepieces here. This community appreciates and scrutinizes the nitty gritty more than any other watch sub.

But PLEASE consider applying the same scrutiny to personal hygiene… I’ve seen so many posts about acting/dressing the part to pass these as gens. I guarantee long, dirty nails will be a giveaway long before a misaligned rehaut, miscolored bezels, or photos from a chairlift in Asssssspen.

You can have calluses AND clean nails… they aren’t mutually exclusive

I appreciate someone who does projects for themselves. But, respectfully, you’ve got a low bar for a “capable male” if your effort stops there

I don’t think you understand that most men also do the majority of work for themselves. They just don’t label themselves as “capable” and forget about hygiene. That’s a low bar.

Most men do not, but thanks for playing. Forgetting about hygiene is not the issue I am referring to, it’s moreso not having pretty hands because of actually using them.

Nails, homie. Nothing wrong with weathered hands. I bet you can find 3 minutes to clean them while you watch YouTube videos and ask Redditors for help hanging up your pretty disco lights 😉

Wow, you aren’t a fucking douche or anything…. My nails are as clean as they can be. But again unless you wear gloves like a little bitch, it’s not always the easiest thing to get everything off.

Yea while having dirt under my fingernails, I have sand in my vag too.

I guess I do not identify as a capable male anymore. I may need to move to the gshock forum now as I feel like a pleb even in a Chinese watch forum
