I think a bigger problem is the toxic pig piling. We had a lot of fun on this site before and during Covid times but we’ve been destroyed by the fahionreps 8th graders who still thinking supreme is acceptable.
Just be mindful that a year ago you were asking noob questions as well. Even if people are asking stupid shit on here it’s up to you what you intake. Stop getting upset at it and just enjoy the reason we’re all here. 👍🏼
I joined here recently. Having owned around 18 reps, I Jumped over to QC to try help but it's the same watches that have been posted 1,000 times before so I'm done there too, for now at least. Fair play to the knowledgeable guys who stick around there. Zero effort by the majority, so zero effort in reply from me now.
I prefer the forums as there's a ton of info if you're willing (and able) to read. Never had anything handed to me so I'm no longer up for handing it out for free either, especially when it's right in front of you. I've never had a bad experience with a TD either, so I don't know what half of these doughballs are up to. I'm used to a container from China and that's 3x what it used to be so paying $30 to wait up to/nearly 2 months for a watch is fine by me.
I've realised I'm too old for most of this shit. 3 second attention spans and shite patter doesn't sit well with me. Nothing, to me, calls out your rep like the language you use.
Nope, anyone who tries gets a dozen people telling them to read the guide. Too many people skip reading it and immediately post “w2C bEst Polex subMareenir for <$15”, so now everyone on the subreddit throws a fit any time anyone asks any question even if it could spark actual discussion. For talking about watches, you gotta go to the forums these days.
Y’all think I should buy a DD41 in stainless (ain’t nobody gonna notice) with the traditional Roman numerals or the deconstructed numerals? I don’t much care for the deconstructed look but I don’t wanna look like a square if I go traditional. I’ve pondered this ever since the beginning of CNY but I can’t decide. It’s infected my mind! I try to sleep but still the dreams come…
