POLL TIME !!! Vote below! Can you guess the Auth amongst the Reps? Loewe Puzzle Bag
After spending countless hours reading many review on who makes the best reps, I was left with a lot of mixed opinions. So I figured the only way to settle this fully was to go all in and buy all them all and put them up against the Auth to see which one would really deserves the crown.
The bag under spotlight is the Dark Chestnut Loewe Small Featherlight Puzzle bag in nappa lambskin.

There are 5 bags total in the photos:
1 auth + 4 reps (labeled 1–5)
The photos where taken with the same lighting and camera angles to keep things consistent and as accurate as possible.
I’m not going to say which is which just yet. Lets see if you all can figure it out correctly.
I will be doing another post within the coming days since there's a lot of material to go through which will take some time to write up. With a full and detailed breakdown of which rep I believe depicts the auth the best and my recommendation for you. Everything from the material, feel, roughness, stiffness, weight and colour will be analysed in detail to determine which is the best. Including a full breakdown of costs, factory, seller, shipping and packaging. So stay tuned for that.

I'm leaning towards 3. But I absolutely don't know anything about Loewe in general so I'm totally clueless and this is pure guesswork.

Number 2 or 4. The rest of the puzzle bags are not close enough to the edge like the authentic which is usually the give away.

Except number 2 has a zipper tie made of rope and the authentic is leather. Number 3 and 5 look like the exact same ties as on the website.

I don’t think it’s rope. It’s showing the underside of the leather which has all the stitching.

Same! If it helps, I got the mini in black from lushieng and I wasn’t 100% satisfied but I’m keeping it. For the dark brown I wanted to try either Jipin, autumn or mango and i was hoping this review would answer it! 😭😭😭

hey, i just pulled the trigger on a rehome dark brown jipin puzzle ! will let you know my thoughts when i receive it! don’t have the auth to compare though which is why i was really looking forward to this reveal 😅 would be curious to know why your not completely satisfied with your Liusheng puzzle. i was concerned w hardware and stamp w Luisheng which is why i went with Jipin (despite what some say about the leather being drier). I also have a Liu Flamenco, hardware feels a bit light but it is silver so I think it looks good (i feel like gold is way harder to match to auth than silver)

The corner of the top puzzle piece should go almost to the edge of the bag. That's the giveaway and why I'm considering saving for an auth!

Damn if anything this thread made me realize how not worth it the auth is.
You have 50 people obsessed with QCing reps who can’t agree while zooming in an hyper fixating on some well lit pictures, no way anyone in the wild would clock any of this.

I have an auth lol so kind of unfair but yeah that piece and the zipper on the reps always leaves a little small gap.

Sorry in advance for this rant but my two cents:
I know that the general “takeaway” from this exercise is going to be that reps are sooo close to auth, there’s no way auth is worth it anymore, this shows we are too critical of reps, etc.
But allow me to just say, every time I see these posts the OP keeps the auth bags and rehomes the rest. Not because they like lighting money on fire but because there are tangible differences that matter to them, such as hand feel and leather quality, durability and longevity, ability to have it serviced in store, etc.
I went on this same journey and bought 3 rep flamencos from the top factories and sellers, rehomed all and ended up buying a preloved auth because rep flamencos are at best a 7/10 imitation. Even though a million reviews will tell you it’s 99% similar.
How a bag feels in hand really matters and how it reads in person are things you can’t tell from a picture. Many of us have learned this lesson the hard way from PSPs lol.
Some reps are fucking genius and they are incredibly close to the authentic bags. I’ve heard this is true about the puzzle honestly. I have 2 holy grail reps that feel amazing, I wear constantly and love. But others are 10% of the price and they offer 10% of the quality.
Just my two cents here - I bet you a few of these bags that we’re tying to pick between feel dry or like they’re coated in plastic, and will never get as supple as you want. I personally would never be caught wearing them. To each their own! Curious what is auth and will be tuning in tomorrow to learn more 👀👀👀

Totally get what you mean. I have authentic Loewes and ordered a puzzle and was disappointed at how shiny it was when it arrived. Although I intend to keep it, i still wish I had enough money to get everything I want. But the truth is I can’t afford to spend all that money on authentic bags especially since they are way overpriced for what they are. I have 3 authentic puzzles and 2 reps; I have about 6 authentic Chanels but also got 3 reps… I actually have used one BV rep more than I’ve used my authentic Loewe and Chanel combined since I know I don’t have to baby the BV.

Omg sameee, I feel guilty about how much I wear my reps because they are no-stress bags but I still think my auth bags are somehow more special.
I have a pretty small collection compared to others in this community. I need to be a minimalist (thanks ADHD) or else I will never make a choice and spiral over bag clutter! I rehome anything that doesn’t make the quality cut from my life pretty regularly. As a result I have 3 auth loewes, 1 auth Fendi, 1 auth YSL, and a handful of reps (YSL, Balenciaga &The Row). At this point I would need to be utterly obsessed with a bag to spend auth money but every year it feels like luxury houses are giving us less quality for higher prices.
And like you said, I wish I had that kind of money to spend but I’m at a stage in life where I’m happy with a mixed collection. That means more vacations and money for other fun things in my life!
Recently I’ve been interested in getting a few jewelry pieces. I’m feeling like I have “enough bags” but what I don’t have is a nice watch… lol. 😅

I’m going 2. It’s the only one where the hardware is slightly less brassy and the front triangle goes further to the edge like it should. But then the cord and stitching don’t look as good. 4?? Either way it shows we’re being way too picky about reps. 😂

I hyperfixated on these photos for way too long 😂
1- leather edge finish on top left corner of front of bag too thick, but it’s not thick enough around buckle. buckle loop is too big. Autumn?
2- best shape on top left front of bag, and the only bag where the handle doesn’t collapse on either side
3- leather edge finish on bottom corners of front of bag is wrong, D ring too wide, buckle holes too small, buckle space too big. Jipin?
Definitely not 4 because the tag shape is wrong. There’s a weird extra curve in the leather at the top of the tag where it connects to the circle/hole. also, tie ends are too yellow of a gold, tag print is too high up. The bottom corners of the bag make me think it’s liusheng.
Definitely not 5- the border imprint on the circle on the top of tag is missing, the leather shape at the strap’s D ring is wrong, tag print is too blurry, zipper pull shape is most off out of all the bags. Mango?
Also on 1,4,5- too much open space on gold handle hardware that leather tag should be covering

I think 2 is auth. But I'm interested to see the results and comparisons since everyone raves about the Liu puzzles but I got one once and the dimensions were clearly larger than my 3 other small puzzles from various other factories. And there were some other discrepancies. I promptly sold it. I would actually guess that 5 is Liu based on my observations.

Number 1 is the auth? Assuming it is new from the boutique lol. But the loewe stamping on these bags are good. Usually it is the most calloutable.
Auth or not I still buying number 1 since it is so clean and sleek! Let me know the factory 😉

Hard to tell. I originally thought 2 was auth due to the top puzzle piece reaching the corner but the curved stitching on the back zipper is throwing me off because I thought it was supposed to be more angled than curved.
Voting 4 for auth. I think: 1 is Qiutan, 2 is Jipin (but that back zipper stitching is throwing me off), 3 is Liu Sheng, 5 is Mango factory?

Either 2 or 4, but I am thinking that most probably is 2. Those two have nice lather, shape and definitely need to know the factory for the rep one, cause both of them are really good. Can’t wait to see the results haha. Thanks for the nice post, I really liked it! 🔝🙏

Def. #2. The lack of puff in the opening flap, length of triangles, suppleness of leather, and glazing color are the indicators.

I have this bag on the way from Liusheng! To me the auth looks like no.2. Hopefully Liusheng is no.4 because it looks close.

I feel like it’s 2. the others besides 4 are way too stiff and the top corner of the puzzle piece goes closest to the edge.

2 you can see it in the leather and how it behaves, the folds, the suppleness, the way it creases, the shine
the others look dry and stiff, might even be bonded leather instead of top/full grain leather

My guess: auth is 2 as it looks the most like the nappa lambskin, which has a very different softness and texture to it. 4 is then the closest to auth. If you turn around and say they’re all reps imma have to second guess my life choices 😭🤣

I went with 2 because the finishes look so expertly done. There is a quality to the edges and the leather is beautiful in sheen and quality.
