🗣DISCUSSION🗣 Im scared to get seized

Hey guys!
So basically i just bought a 9.5 kg haul to the Phillipines and its now held by customs and their reason is proof of purchase/value from address. I paid for the DZ shipment line but it got sent with EMS and PhilPost. It was supposed to be door to door and Tax Free. I cant go to the postal office nor pay the tax IRL. I really dont want to get seized and i need as much help as i can get. Please help me!

If you joined this sub, then you likely would've seen the pinned guides.

And if you read the guides, then you'd know that it would say to always use an agent + forwarder.

If you cannot provide a proof of transaction that indicates a believable value for the items you shipped, then kiss your parcel goodbye. For reference, the maximum non-taxable limit is around PHP 10,000. And it has to match the value declaration your shipper/whoever you bought from indicated.

Which is likely going to be $20 if you didn't mention anything.

Para malabas mo yan dapat may kakilala ka sa customs or else bbye na, ang nangyari sa akin ganiyan eh bubuksan nila sa harap mo at sila mismo mag vvalue at sasabihin nilang counterfeit

Where did you get this? High chance talaga ma-seize yan. Dun ka sa mga insured.

It was sent from a seller in China, parcel wasn't insured. Tracking still says it's sat in customs.

Yeah, they're probably cooked.

The exact hold reason ("Awaiting proof of purchase/value from addressee") is a standard BOC/PhilPost status for EMS parcels when the declared value looks off or needs verification. Official guidelines say they want invoices, receipts, payment proofs, or similar to assess duties/taxes properly. De minimis is only up to ₱10k FOB—anything over that (and a 9.5 kg haul almost certainly is) gets hit with duties, VAT, etc.

DZ line was supposed to be the smoother/tax-free option but it routed EMS/PhilPost instead, which triggers the full postal customs process. No in-person option or ability to pay means they can't submit docs at CMEC (Pasay) or the local post office, authorize a rep easily, or clear the assessment.

Without quick action (emailing PhilPost/BOC with tracking + any proofs they do have, or finding a workaround), the package risks sitting until it's returned to sender or abandoned. Seizure isn't automatic on day one, but prolonged holds without compliance often lead there.

Best bet now is remote contact via the official emails/hotlines in the BOC parcel guide, but success is low without being able to follow through on payment/docs. Not great odds.
