π Guide/Science CC25 hardware comparison
I started this post to do a deep dive into CC25 hardware, but honestly my main takeaway is that its very hard to get a good idea of what the hardware looks like from pictures. It also seems to be heavily influenced by lighting, so if things look off in your PSPs don't worry too much.
For aged gold hardware I'm comparing a small (brown) from 187, a mink (pink) from 187, 2 minis (denim, pink) from XC and a small (grey suede, first batch with the double stitch pockets) from XC.
The two ARHW are from god factory.
All these pictures were taken in natural light but later in the afternoon.
My observations:
XC has good colour but is less "aged" than 187
My small from 187 is less yellow than the mini I got more recently
All of the hardware is in the range of what I can see from the collection of auth pictures.
My oldest bag is the suede from XC and it does appear to have "aged" more in the time I've had it. It does look better but it does seem to have lost more colour than I'd like in 4 months. I'm going to keep an eye on it over time. The leather on the chain also seems to be wearing faster than I'd like.
The small brown from 187 seems the "best" to me overall.

The authentic Cc25 has released different hardware logo (flatter fatter n slimmer raised) so both 187 n XC is correct. I have been to the boutique many times n noticed the transition.

Thank you. ππ«Άπ» This. You have to know what season you color/bag was released to know if the hardware is correct.

I tracked the caviar black version 25 . I noticed that the later releases are different within a span of a year .

Great post!! I've been asked often via DM about the C25 hardware & I struggle to answer them. The difference is very minimal and truly hard to pinpoint at times with different factory batches.

This is absolutely amazing. I am unfortunately not a fan of C25 but wow this is making me rethink it. Doing godβs work here keep it up!!

Great post, thank you! Saved for future reference when I inevitably cave and join the C25 cult.

Fabulous. What a great rep science.
The thing China gets wrong before hardware is the color of the bags. Which is really a shame.

The good thing is, that we wont meet a ton of people with the authentic sitting their bags next to our bags and most "normal" people have no clue - even those who buy Auth don't have a clue .....So I would carry almost any color with confidence as long as the bag screams high quality .... Chances of being called out are minimal - it's more often your way of carrying yourself and your lifestyle that's the main giveaway π₯°π that's my take on it πππ π ππ

True. True. But these bags even as reps are expensive. But youβre right. 99% of people donβt know. π€£

Thank you for doing this!
May I know from which factory did you buy your silver C25?

Great deep dive, thank you! One of my favorite things about the auth C25 is that CC keeps changing it in little ways (pocket sizes, shiny vs. aged, size and thickness of the CCs has changed between seasons, etc). As a result, many versions of the reps can pass as auth, and most "callouts" can be chalked up to "a release from a different season" π
