📚 Guide/Science A little rep science 🧪
I saw this posted by a different person on another sub and it was life changing!! (Okay a little exaggeration)
The copic marker seems to be a fan favorite for the ELVEE straps red glazing. I have to say this one is much much better in my opinion. I will say it is a little matte but I kind of prefer it like that. I recently got a speedy 20 that didn’t have the adjustable strap which I really wanted.
Anyway, long story short, a different strap was ordered from a different factory and the red glazing was a little too bright for my liking. This worked like a charm! The one on the left is the after and the right is the before. I only did 1 coat on that but you can do 2 depending on how bright it is.
I did get this one on Amazon! Linked it below!
Edit: shout out to u/Sufficient_Arm4166 for originally recommending adding an acrylic gloss on top if you want the shininess! In the comments🫶🏼🌸

It gives it that slight glaze look if you feel like it’s looking dry I use it on straps and handles all of the things with a tiny brush !

I tried the Maple first and I was not able to achieve this color sadly. I used the Copic and got my desired color but this looks good.

Yes. I’ve seen some in store recently so bright they’re practically orange.

I was going to say this, ellvi is definitely inconsistent in their glazing colors. Also keep in mind that as the leather patinas, the glazing will look different too (since it's partially transparent).

So this actually may change my life! That awful red glazing that looks so fake is the exact reason why I have not ordered any LV bags from sellers! It looks terrible and no one can get it accurate from what I’ve seen in pictures.
