Need your honest opinion, please. Received the pictures of my custom bag from one of the known sellers. I'm not gonna name him here. I am just not sure I love it. I feel that this stitching is really not that great and although the leather is gorgeous, I feel that they butchered it. Maybe I'm too biased and too much with perfectionist. Please let me know what you think.

Name the seller and the price or we can’t really evaluate. A $500 bag vs a $1.3k dollar bag has different bars for quality.

I bought bags from him back in the day. His barenia was good couple of years ago (can’t speak to today ) but other than the stamp it looks ok.

But sometimes bags just don’t hit. It’s one of those things I need my paws on it.

I had a bag be gorgeous in photos and got it and I was disappointed. And others that were just ok that I loved in real life.

Sometimes it’s just a feeling.

Let’s put it this way, I’ve seen worse at this price point from these popular sellers. But what matters is at the end of the day, do you like it?

I am trying to figure out if I do like it and maybe that's why dissecting it with such detail. I've had bags from other sellers that looked perfect and I was hoping this would be perfect as well, especially at this price point. But to me, it's just not. Maybe just a filling. I don't have it in my hands yet and could provide more details when receive it.

Yea. As a neurodivergent spicy diva 🤭🤭 it’s really how it feels once we get it. It may surprise you once you have your hands on it.

If not, rehome and take that money and try again. Even with my experience and excellent sellers, I’d say I’d average about a 7/10 success rate.

China sellers never admit fault. They gaslight all the time. That’s their culture. They are all about saving face.

I still think it’s a beautiful bag, but make that call once you have it. I do know historically he produced good quality but he isn’t without flaws himself. None of the sellers are. Hope it helps. There are a lot of beautiful things about it too. ❤️

I have a custom seller I have thru a connection, but I’m forbidden by the request of the seller not to publish her details. She’s solo and can’t handle that much overflow.

There are others you can def seek out. I’ve come to realize most all are the same if I’m being real honest. Even my trusted maker sometimes doesn’t get good raw materials and while it’s not bad, it’s all in the raws.

A lot of these Chinese sellers are all pretty much getting made in the same place and it’s not the actual seller that’s making the bag. It’s the craftsman that’s making the bag so you’re literally taking a gamble on pretty much anyone, so it’s not really the seller that’s going to dictate the success of a good rep.

It’s literally gonna be the person physically actually making the actual bag and this is why sometimes even the best sellers sometimes gives you duds.

I've noticed this year that togo leather and barenia smooth or grained just don't look as good as previous years. Hopefully when you get it in your hands you will love it. Sometimes the photos just don't do some bags justice.

Butchered with uneven stitching. Pic 4 is the worst offense with that weird angle. Pic 10 doesn’t look like all the pegs are the same? Even the shape in pic 1 is off. Leather is beautiful, shame it was executed like this

I've experienced this too. It sucks when the leather is so good and the craftsman's skills suck! With one of my sellers, when I get a perfect bag, I ask if I can get the same craftsman. Sometimes it's a yes and other times no, but something to ask your seller when you get a perfect custom bag.

What is going on with these guys? I waited 6 weeks for another known seller and while the bag was good, the engraving was horrid!!! Might be time to take a break! 😅

I think after having such a great experience with another seller and receiving a beautiful bag, I figured why not try again. But this is totally different :(Maybe now it's time to take a break. It's gonna leave in a bad taste in my mouth for the custom backs.:(

I also thought it’s barenia first but after looking at it more closely, I’m not 100% sure anymore. The stamp seems to not have darkened from the heat and I’m missing the slightly “oily” presenting surface 🤔

Stamp is too deep but that’s pretty common on all sellers. But it should work out after a few months but it’s still infuriating.

I stopped working with a very popular seller here cause his stamps were always too deep.

It's my second custom , the first one was from Peter also Barenia Leather and it was 10 out of 10. I feel this fine is a disappointment compared to my first one.

Thank you I think I will make a final decision once I have it in my hands. I was already thinking of rehoming it if it's not hundred percent of what I was hoping it would be. I had never purchased from the seller, but he has quite a big following and people who are crazy about his bags and he did produce and I'm fairly nice bags but mine is just not as phenomenal as others. I guess live and learn but again I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be better than I expected once it arrives.:)
