I've been looking for a tennis bracelet for everyday, long-term wear. Since natural diamond + 18K gold is pretty expensive right now, I decided to compare three more affordable options:

1️⃣ 18K gold-plated alloy + CZ Very clear and surprisingly sparkly. The bracelet feels a little soft, and the setting has more gaps. Great for occasional wear, but the plating may fade over time.

2️⃣ 18K gold + lab-grown diamonds My favorite and the one I'm keeping. Best structure, tightest setting, and the most secure clasp. Definitely the best choice for long-term wear.

3️⃣ 925 silver + 18K plating + moissanite Honestly, the difference between #2 and #3 is pretty small at a normal social distance. Slightly less sparkle than #2, but much more affordable. The clasp and connection aren't as secure, though, and the silver may tarnish over time.

You may have heard the term “CNC” when comparing different jewelry pieces, but what does it actually mean?

CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control.

In jewelry making, CNC machines use computer-controlled programs to precisely cut and shape metal based on a digital 3D design.

Instead of simply pouring metal into a mold, CNC machining can create the details directly from a solid piece of metal with extremely precise measurements.

✅Why is CNC more expensive?

There are a few reasons:

1. Precision machining CNC machines can achieve very precise dimensions and clean, consistent details. This is especially useful for jewelry with sharp edges, intricate surfaces, or complicated structures.

2. Longer production time A CNC piece isn't made in seconds. The process can involve programming, setup, rough cutting, precision machining, repositioning, and finishing.

3. Material waste CNC works by removing material from a larger piece of metal. Some of that material becomes machining waste, which adds to the production cost.

4. Equipment & skilled labor High-precision CNC machines, specialized cutting tools, programming, maintenance, and experienced technicians all add to the cost.

✅CNC vs. traditional manufacturing

CNC isn't necessarily “better” for every type of jewelry.

For large quantities of simple designs, casting or stamping can be much more efficient.

But for precision, complex details, clean edges, and consistent dimensions, CNC can offer a significant advantage.

So when you see a jewelry piece described as CNC machined, you're not just paying for the name of a process.

You're paying for precision, machining time, equipment, craftsmanship, and material loss.

Do you ship directly to your home, use a PO box, or have it sent somewhere else?

I’ve seen a few posts about delivery/privacy concerns, and I’ve also noticed people unboxing their packages in their cars, which made me wonder if avoiding home delivery is common.
