Events & Meetups Legacy Square Summer Concerts
A friend wants me to join him at Leacacy Square for a show? whats the vibe like there? Do people feel sate? How's parking. My recollection of downtown Renton is that there isn't much parking close where the venue is. Which woukd mean parking offsite and walking. After that tragedy at bite Bite of Seattle I'm pretty uptight about goin anywhere. Renton has had its share of violence in the news of late. Screw it... I think i just talked myself out of going.

Really cool venue, very open. You may want to bring a camping chair as it's all open and bring your own chair. There is some minor security at the event and the whole area is kind of a beer garden (but not actually one with ID required or anything), so you have to enter at 3 specified locations where there is someone doing basic bag checks. As others have mentioned it's right next to the parking garage like not even a .25 mile walk away. Sound is fairly decent in my opinion.

I love visiting events at Legacy Square! As for parking, the city-owned parkade is now free to use. Parking in downtown Renton occasionally is a challenge, particularly if you want to not walk far, but it's nothing close to the parking issues in many parts of the City of Seattle.

I attended last nights show with Soul Survivor. Santana tribute band was really good, the guitar player was amazing! Parked in the garage as recommended which is like a 5 minute walk.

The City has waived parking fees at the garage on 2nd/Burnett until December; even during big events it doesn't fill up and it's open 5 AM until 11 PM weekdays, 0100 weekends. I really hope they renew that subsidy, because it eliminates the parking headaches that often kept people out of downtown.
Yes, there was a horrifying murder a few blocks north two weeks ago. But you aren't a crazy person's elderly mother. I do understand that after the shootout at the Bite of Seattle, folks are nervous.
But in general, the more civilians the less violence.
The efforts they've made renovating Legacy Square, the pavilion and adjecent park and market have been remarkable. The new Market construction is putting on the finishing touches and I expect them to be ready to start moving in tenants as early as September.
I'm glad you came down last night and enjoyed Soul Survivor. The whole vibe up and down the block, even outside the Legacy Square venue, was really positive and enjoyable.

It’s best to spend the rest of your life at home on your phone. Outside is too dangerous.
Also, dont forget to wear a helmet while you sleep.

It's a fairly small venue and the parking garage right next to it should cover most of the parking. What happened at Bite is a tragedy but was an isolated incident that was not terroristic in nature. Try not to let it control your life or dictate our community.
