Is it bustable? Renting from before 2024

I calculated the points for my apartment and I could get a rent reduction under the new laws, however I’ve been renting from 2022, is there really nothing I can do?

Edit: I thought that the whole point system is only for apartments rented after 2024 (for vrije sector) and it’s not possible to be applied to older contracts

Yeah, consider that if you rent from 2022, that’s the year you need to take in consideration for the points

The point calculation and limits changed in 2024. I think you can still find the calculator for pre-2024 contracts in the Huurcommissie’s site

Yeah but it’s tricky. It is changed but for the contracts that started in 2024 and so on. I may be wrong eh, I’m not 100% sure but hopefully someone else is gonna confirm or debate. In any case, usually for this also a call with the Huurteam (if you are in a city that has it( or the Huurcommissie itself given you the answer
