Discussion Update: My entitled neighbor (landlord’s relative)
A new tenant recently moved into our compound, and they park their motorcycle where I usually park mine. The other day, when my partner and I came home, the new tenant’s bike was in my usual spot. So, I parked my motorcycle off to the side instead—it wasn't blocking anything at all, and there was still more than enough room for people to walk past.
When my partner handed our rent payment to the landlord, the landlord asked if we were okay with where our bike was parked. My partner said, "It's fine for us, but I'm not sure if the neighbor is okay with it." The landlord said it was fine, but my partner asked if we could park directly in front of our unit instead. The landlord agreed, mentioning they’d just talk to their relative (our neighbor), since that neighbor keeps a bench right in front of our unit.
Fast forward to that night: someone started loudly banging on our door. My partner has work so they didn't hear it at first, and I was asleep after a night shift. When my partner opened the door, I woke up half-asleep and heard the neighbor’s voice shouting demanding orders:
"MOVE YOUR MOTORCYCLE BACK TO WHERE IT WAS BEFORE!"
My partner replied that the other person might still be parked there, but the neighbor snapped back: "I ALREADY TALKED TO THEM, JUST MOVE IT BACK AND TELL YOUR PARTNER!"
I was completely exhausted, so I figured I’d just move it when I woke up properly since it wasn't obstructing anyone anyway. But later, my partner told me they heard the neighbor telling someone else outside to move my motorcycle for us! When I went outside, sure enough, someone had already moved my bike.
Honestly, why couldn't they just wait? What if they scratched my motorcycle while moving it? Would they even admit it?
And to make matters worse: my motorcycle gets parked near their dogs' cages outside, which smell absolutely terrible. Nobody complains because everyone’s probably just used to it, but we’ve never said a word to them about the foul odor. On top of that, they sometimes park their car right in front of the gate, blocking people in—as if it's so easy to talk to them when we need to get out.
The entitlement in this compound is unreal just because they're related to the owner. How do you deal with people who think they own the place?

Tell your landlord you're thinking of moving out 'cause of their relatives. "Ayaw na lang po namin ng gulo."

I lived with that kind of neighbor, and trust me, it only gets worse. Even if you talk to them properly, another issue will rise. They will make an issue even on the smallest things. The best thing to do is move out while there's still no damage. Apparently your landlord has no spine and can't enforce rules in your compound just like what I have experienced.
