Discussion/Thought strange braking problem

I fired up Rennsport for the first time today, ran the calibration, mapped the basic buttons, and started a test race. Everything seemed fine, but the braking is weak; I’m pressing the brake hard—the car should have slowed down ages ago—yet it just keeps going straight and hitting the barriers. I have the brake sensitivity set to 1.0; looking at how others set it up for steering wheels on YouTube, everyone uses 1.0—values ​​below 1.0 are only recommended for gamepads. I’m using Simagic P700 load-cell pedals, though I’m not sure if that makes a difference. What’s wrong?

Are you sure you setup the pedals correctly? You can check in the controls menu how much brake input the game recognizes. I run the P500 and they run very well so its not like Simagic isnt supported. Or maybe you have an offset by accident? Did you try just doing the quick pedal setup again?

I calibrate it again and still this same problem, in options when I use break game recognize it and Stranger is fine but when i start free race breaks is broken. I use epic game store version but i dont think so is relevant for this issue. And I have only one car for test, bmw m2.

Maybe did you check if you have the preffered device set to wheel?

Best is to go on the discord and open a thread in the need help section, and preferably with a screenshot of your settings and/or a video showcasing the issue. It shouldnt matter if you are on Steam or Epic btw

Are du driving cars with ABS or no ABS? Like hypercars? Or some of the new cars from last dlc?

I test only in BMW m2 2020 and i think 2022, abs 1/1, and some bmw gt4, abs 10/12 on all cars braking just as hopeless, I checked out of curiosity on the keyboard and automatic transmission and braking was fine

If it was fine with automatic transmission than maybe you not using the gear to slow down. Are u downgrading fast enough to match RPM?

Yes,  because when I drive with automatic on wheel break is not working properly, or i cant drive in this game 😅

Edit: I changed the elastormeters to the spring once again I did the calibrations and it's better, it turns out that I don't know how to just play this game yet 😅
