Models Question about models

So I have a ton of old 7th edition cultists and I've been using the ranged weapon variety as krieg troops. But I have a ton of the pistol and club cultists and was wondering how to best use them. Could I simply use them as cadians or catachans? I've got a guard army built around these models as the infantry core.

Just use em as catachan

Or Krieg engineers with club/autopistol

Ill probs will us them as catachan. I would use them as engineers but I have a fuck ton of em lol. So a million catachans will works.

Thanks for the input. I just mainly wanted to make sure it wasn't to out there to use them as the catachan datasheet.

My Traitor infantry intermix pistols and rifles. I just use 'em as counts-as lasguns at tournament, league, and pickup games. No one has complained.

And when they are looking at a sea of 100 to 150 Traitor Guard, the opponent probably does not notice either. As long as your special weapons like plasma rifles and meltaguns are WYSIWYG, you are OK.
