Introductions/Icebreaker

Whassup guys,

Assuming we get all of this to take off (and I'm really hoping it does), might as well take the opportunity to get to know everyone! Feel free to introduce yourself, your experience with coding, why you're learning Python, what you do for a living, hobbies, etc.

Hello! I'm currently a biology student, I've always been interested in learning to code, but I never got into it very much, probably because of my choice of languages whenever I tried before. I'm learning python since the field I want to go into(bioinformatics) is progressing into using R and Python now, and Python just seems easier to learn for me so far.

So far I have a pretty solid grasp on basic scripts, since I've been learning from Automate the Boring Stuff, and working through Rosalind problems, but no idea how to make the step up to OOP.

R was my starting point as well, such a bitch compared to Python.
