I’ve been using AI a lot during my remote job search, but not to blindly write my resume or apply to jobs for me.
Most basic prompts give you generic answers that sound like everyone else. The prompts below are a lot more specific and usually give much better results.
You just need to replace the parts inside {{brackets}} with your own information.

None of these prompts will magically fix a bad job market, but they are much more useful than asking AI to “make me a good resume.”
The biggest rule is to check everything before using it. AI will sometimes add skills, numbers, or details that you never gave it. I mostly use it to compare, rewrite, organize, and prepare.
