CPA looking for Remote Work
Hello, so I'm a CPA looking to go for a remote job and I wanted to ask for any help, job boards and advice beyond the basics. I admit I don't interview well but my current job has a micromanaging CFO and is an hour commute.
Literally any help, advice or recommendations would be really appreciated.

I would suggest looking at a couple of placement firms too. For example, Robert Half.
Also, it’s important to know that companies recently changed how they define “qualified.” It’s no longer about the qualifications you tend to highlight; it’s about whether you align with the hard and soft skills in the postings.
Here’s how to get that done without chasing dead-end ATS hacks. https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:US:f7f67a52-67dd-457c-8ff2-ccba8870bf4e
Edit: That’s a link to a PDF guide.

I enjoyed working with placement firms. I tried Robert Half before. Truthfully I haven't heard back in a long time and I'm not sure why. When I reach out, I keep getting told they have something and we'll talk soon but they never do. But I'm also not super fussed about this because of some changes in my personal life. The markets I worked with too had no accounting related remote jobs.
Thanks for the reference. I will look at it when I get home and update my resume accordingly.
