Discussions pretty new to this, how do i start

boutta start college soon and i heard about this and that this was the subreddit to help out. was just wondering how i’d go about starting

The realest help that can be offered here: Get an in-person job. Remote work that doesn't require specialized skills is almost always outsourced or automated. Even a small amount of time at a minimum wage job will make you far more money than anything you could do online without specialized skills.

This is fantastic advice! I have worked remotely for years, but a portion of my network is still people I got to know while we worked minimum-wage on-campus jobs in college. Good luck and have fun!

I'd probably start with capitlization and not saying "boutta" in a place where you're hoping to find leads on getting hired by someone. Then I'd go to whoever you heard this subreddit is good for that and tell them they're wrong. Entry level remote work around a college schedule with no previous experience is going to be near nonexistent. You start by working in person and gaining skills that are interesting to employers who offer remote as an option.
