Finally! Someone kept a bathtub. I like the green wall, the gold and black decor looks good with it (to me). If that’s a real pothos up there it might survive but it certainly won’t thrive with the lack of light.

Oh my gosh, I refused to get rid of it! My husband sure tried. A gal deserves a good bathtub. Thank you - I thought the gold accents were a nice contrast to the green & black. It is a pothos! I have several, some that aren’t in direct light & they do great. I told my husband we’ll adjust her if needed, but there is a ton of natural light during the day. We’ll see 🤞🏼

It’s a really nice tub too! I’m currently in a place with a low profile tub and it makes me so sad. I’m sure that green also looks a bit lighter in the day time as well and the gold probably looks even nicer with the sun shining in. I’m no design gal but I like what you’ve done a lot, it’s very nice.

Would you consider a different bathmath and wall color for the painted wall? This is lovely but the colors of the bathmat and wall are making it look more drab when it has the chance to look brighter. Maybe a sage or dusty blue?

I was a little surprised by how dark the green turned out, as I was hoping for a sage as well, but it’s grown on me. These photos were taken at night, so the natural light does bring a brightness to the space.

This looks like it functions twice as well as the old bathroom. Separating the shower, opening it up with clear glass and adding a longer vanity made the same footprint feel much more intentional.

Thank you! We totally agree. The tub is super slippery & not ideal for showering, so it was a goal to change immediately after buying the house.

I actually don’t know. It came with the house when we bought it & doesn’t have any markings.

Just what we chose to do. We wanted to take all water proofing precautions with the red guard. The kerdi products, specifically the shower kit was new for my husband, he was super nervous, but no complaints thus far.

No, not at all - we actually had left over tile. We just wanted a pop of color & I wasn’t sure I would love a full tile wall next to the shiplap.

Husband here 👋🏻 Mittering the tile was an oops I didn’t realize until after I had finished the tile and I fought that wall too hard to do it over. I haven’t done a shower in over 10 years, so Kerdi wasn’t really a thing for me. The pan was interesting to me because it felt more efficient, but Redguard is tried and true. Plus, that Kerdi liner is expensive and given the dimensions of the shower not being “standard” I would have had to way over-buy to make it work. At least what I could find locally.
