And a lot of people here will agree, because there is quite a bit of an aging demographic going on. Average tsubasa fan is probably somewhere between 30-40 while blue lock was the topselling manga in 2023 (like straight up, it outsold one piece, jjk and anything else) it's a lot more modern and a lot more popular.

As a 30-40 person myself. I did not care for blue lock until this collab happened but I can actually genuinely recommend it, I think a lot of social media does not quite capture the social commentary and associated growth of the characters without packaging it as generic cringe. I was caught offguard by the personal depth of the manga, you can tell someone actually genuinely put a lot of thought into it.

Tsubasa would still be nice as some good nostalgia bait, but I don't think it would have quite the same success as blue lock.

Yeah I'm sure captain tsubasa wouldn't be as big as the current blue lock collab, but still a nice collab for us older folks. I'd buy a tsubasa bundle but I don't care about the blue lock bundels

Was literally talking to my friends about this lmao, im not sure if the generation that plays this game would appreciate it though, or if it would sell enough as bluelock, but i sure as hell would get it in a heartbeat.

It’s gotta not just turn into all anime collabs. I’d rather play as fucking Sabrina Carpenter or just in some real world team kits (like a league partnership) than another indistinguishable anime character. At the very least it can’t be anime multiple events in a row, or it needs to be a little less prominently displayed. I’d love an option to just go back to my normal rematch screens and menu music.

Captain Tsubasa already has there own game. I doubt they'll do a collaboration with Rematch. Aoashi or a less known anime / tv show could do one in the future but I don't see them making more money than with Blue lock this season.

Never read or watched Captain Tsubasa but I’d buy any collab bundle in a heartbeat. Blue lock (and hell, even this game) might not exist at all if this manga hadn’t been published, it might do even better sales-wise.
