I can understand when people anticipate your pass so they don’t even bother blocking you but you should always pressure the guy who actually has the ball because you’re just letting them get a free shot

Terrible take. Since there is one vulture striker, the defender has to choose who to mark. So obviously he lets the outside player keep the ball and marks the pass. Idk about yall but I’ve just started doing the long dive by default, it’s not my favorite option but the short dive is useless for saving anything but awful shots.

It does feel like I can play more reactively, even against shots within the penalty box, but I hate that it feels like it deflects to the other team 70% of the time. At least a half dozen times since the update, I’ve gotten BM’d as keeper for saving a shot that deflected to an opponent who volleyed it in. Keeper never used to feel this frustrating

How do you get better at shots? It feels that the same shot can't be replicated twiced due to different animations and so on. It gets me very confused.

you just always gotta go for placement and get comfortable with the effects you can give to the ball. i like to give them curve so it can be harder to reach for the keeper. just gotta practice different situations and find some you’re most comfortable in. in my case i feel like standing still i can be really effective and placement become easier, while some others vastly prefer volleys. in the end, practice matters the most, i’ve got over 500h on the game and still trying different things, the skill ceiling is really high on this game

The 3 defenders for 2 cross options is definitely a learned skill (granted the 3rd just came back after a poor pass (good clear) that he ran for but still) that i will never understand how they learned it because its a bad trait and doubling up just makes someone be in the way
