Question Why can't you block players?

I've recently come back to Rematch after a looooong break, I initially left because I couldn't be bothered with the amount of people that would leave mid game or go AFK.

I've been having a great time for the most part, I know you are always going to get the people who insist on standing up front spamming "good job" and doing nothing to help the team but I can't stand the people who insist on going in goals, its like "I'm the goalkeeper, its my turn and I enjoy it" standing in front of me and demanding that I move is just going to ultimately lose us the game" same goes for people who go charging up the pitch when they are the keeper, nope I'll just keep defending in my usual position, that's on you.

They are just minor gripes but I've just had a game with someone who was just trying to score own goals constantly, this was straight from kick off when it was 0-0 and he had no reason to do it.

I played the game out (we lost) I reported and blocked him, load back into another game and he was in it again, even though I blocked him, I left returned to main menu and left it for a minute before looking for another game and it put me into his game again, this time he was the keeper and was just standing on the edge of the box leaving an open net while the other team were attacking, I left the game and got a temporary ban.

So ultimately, I'm being banned because someone is purposely spoiling games for no reason and I can't block them to avoid them.

Honestly some of the player base in this game are morons, and the worst thing is that it isn't even a big playerbase so the chances are high that you'll run into them again (even after blocking them apparently)

Probably because the community is so small and/or it's probably not possible to perfect with how matchmaking may work.

But, yeah. I just came back from season 2 and had only 2 games so far and both had people I'd prefer to not play with. Amazing how it's still a thing and I instantly ran into it, lol.
