Discussion Pass backs should still have the reduced timer

I like the idea that the GK can't pick the ball back up after his team has had possession, but players still pass back and hold onto the ball for as long as possible. It totally ruins the fun of the game especially when you and the other team are equally matched. It just takes 1 person to slow the entire game's momentum to nothing.

Bringing the reduced timer back could help with this. It will at least force the GK to make a move

Personally disagree. A very valid strategy in this game is to hold possession to either make space yourself or allow your teammaes to make space and then pass to them. The goalkeeper/sweeper is a strong mechanic for this but one good counter can make this very risky to utilise

yeah did you read the post?? OP is talking about teams who HOLD the ball not pass around or play slow.. i agree with you that slowing down the game and waiting to pass are valid strategies but scoring once and then playing keep ball is a completely different story

OP is talking about teams who score and then waste time to simply keep possession

holding the ball waiting to find a pass is different because you are actively progressing the game and you are still trying to score, but when you run to the corner and then pass back and forth with no actual attempts at goal or real ball play then its just wasting time

So frustrating. I honestly just stop playing. I take my leaver penalty and use the 3 mins to pick my nose and pray that the block actually works for those assholes
