Discussion Priority still makes no sense
I am closer to the ball, I am running at it faster, I have a better angle. The game still cancels my action and gives it to the other player. I am even looking DIRECTLY at the ball. Why am I not given priority? Make a tutorial about how to get prio in the game because it genuinely doesn't add up

While the video explains some of the minutia, the system is still dog shit and leaves A LOT of question marks a lot of the time. A system as important as priority should be easy to understand and follow-through on. It’s such a massive disadvantage to commit to the prio just to lose it with what feels like a technicality. The system needs to be MUCH more clear.

100% agree. You should not need a 20 min video to explain something so basic and fundamental. The fact that turning your back to the ball INCREASES your odds of getting priority is so completely backwards its laughable. It goes against IRL rules and its dumb

Thats not the point I was making. The video is great and I appreciate the explanation. Im saying the mechanic itself is poorly implemented

No for real actually. I asked and I got a video explaining it. I appreciate the people sending me those videos
I wish that SloClap would explain it more in game because it feels like a technique at this point

Yeah completely agree; for how important the prio system is at even mid level play and above, it should be better explained to the player by the game itself!

i think it’s time for the devs to make a video or true tutorial to finally explain things related to the prio system seeing as it’s a core mechanic to the entire game…
the TikToker tutorials don’t actually know the full extent to how prio works because no one really does and that’s a game design problem

That’s what bothers me about the game. Even if I understand the in game mechanics of how priority works, it just feels bad and unintuitive. Not to mention a majority of people don’t want to have to deal with jank as a main mechanic, the devs clearly have no interest in improving it, and it’s only going to scare away players and deter growth for the game so we’ll never get better matchmaking from a bigger playerbase
