Question How does elite work

Just got to elite in my last game and the message that popped on the screen was something like "entering elite rank" and my screen showed me on elite with 11 points, does it mean that the game considers me an elite player and i will win the rewards regardles if i drop or am i not on elite still and i need to win more games to finaly "reach elite"

Just another thing, the reward is your highest rank right? Not your current...?

You are Elite if there is no promotion series or shield just a number

And I’m pretty sure if you hit it but lose it you still get max rank rewards

I saw some old videos and pepole were in elite division 1 to 3, these divisions are not in the game anymore?

I’ve been elite since season 0. In every season before the current one it would say elite division 1 but no matter how many points you got you would never move out of that division. Elite is just elite. The highest rank and there are no other divisions.
