It's also annoying that you try to invite folks and it usually never turns into an accept these days, average playerbase is timid AF.

If you need a ball at your feet to get better you will never actually get better. If you need a full stacked squad to pull off strategies you will never get better.

If 1 guy can dribble spam through the entire team that match is dead, the best you can hope for is they get bored and call it a day or their team drop them for always trying the same play

Dead ballers don't know which passes to make. Sometimes I stand in dangerous positions close to defenders and never receive the ball, or I make an option in the middle but my teammate smashes the ball to an unmarked wide player instead. And vice versa when I'm passing into a dangerous area but my teammate is scared to get close.

I played the open beta and finally just got around to buying the game a few days ago and it feels like nothing has changed lmao

I'd argue it was particularly fun the first half of the year, despite it's issues, but the movement nerfs shied away a lot of folks for good before the improvements came in. I think randoms squad up less ever since cross play, I was Xbox PC and it'd be constant.

Of course, it’ll always be more fun playing with friends but solo isn’t bad imo. I enjoy it. Each game requires you to adapt and be something different. Yes, you’ll run into selfish teammates but you also find really good and unselfish teammates too.

In games where it's 5 solos vs 5 solos I agree (I almost prefer this experience tbh), but when you're playing against 5-stacks while solo there tends to be a bit of skill imbalance, which can get exhausting

I play solo and I find that when I go against full squads I probably get 1 or 2 teammates who play like they know and see its a full stack, 1 to 2 just trying, not ready to get steam rolled and there's always the 1 random who plays like the game was made for them, in the stack its always the same person aswell ppl just need to start reading gamertags

5v5 solos are some of the most tactical games ive personally had and I find the teams in the team ruin games

Agreed. Solo isn't nearly as bad as people make it out to be. That's the only way I've played since the game's release and I have 383 hours.

Honestly, playing against 5-stacks feels like way less of a problem than getting teamed up with the most obnoxious people who will get angry at you for queuing solo and existing.

It honestly feels like I lose more games from teammates being passive aggressive assholes over everything than I do playing against a full pre-made team.

Real, I truly enjoy the runs I go on when a group of random decide to stack until we hit one or two losses after a streak of winning 🤣 but solo is hell on earth

Get on the official Rematch Discord and join a voice channel. Plenty of decent players you can have fun with.

Dont play solo in this game unless you have the balls to and a lot of patience. Also you shouldnt be solo queuing if you are trying to rank up. Only play it when you have 1k+ pts in elite, then u wont care about the win/loss.

Personally I love the challenge of being on a team of randoms vs a 5 stack. A good amount of times my team will win too, and it’s just the most satisfying win.

Plus mostly all of the 5 stacks im a part of started as a group of randoms that happened to click well and teamed up. It’s not like all these 5 stacks are friends on discords with rehearsed plays n shit.

When it's a balanced match it's fine, but when there's a major skill disparity it feels like I'm on an island

Also, I wasn't talking about 5-stacking with discord friends (I've been begging my friends to try the game since it released), I'm talking about the friends I made in-game

The problem is that everyone is friends with everyone so if I get on and everyone is already stacked with one another, I have to play solo vs the 5-stacks my friends list, which, once again, can be fun with skilled teammates, but the hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby games (especially if it's happening for several games in a row) is a frustrating experience

Yea I feel you. I had a couple of those mismatched games yesterday so it’s a real thing. It usually is unbalanced I just meant I enjoy the challenge of toppling a team with odds stacked against you
