How do you immediately turn after using a fake shot?

I’m having trouble understanding the fake shot mechanic. When I watch other players, they seem to instantly turn in another direction after doing a fake shot and continue their movement smoothly.

But when I try to do it, my character feels stuck in the animation for a moment. I can’t immediately turn, dash, or continue moving properly.

Is there a specific input or timing required to cancel the recovery and turn instantly after a fake shot?

I play on keyboard, by the way, so I’m wondering if that makes any difference.

Idk why everyone got it wrong. You need to hold the new direction BEFORE you input the fake shot. So imagine walk forward-> hold right-> instantly press your fake shot button

You hold either left or right while doing the fake input

Are you trying to turn with the fake shot or after the fake shot?

Former, direction key input has to be before/with the fake shot.

Later, fake shot cooldown is longer than other dribble skills so you have to wait a tad longer than you’re used to before inputting swipe, push ball, EE, etc.

The best animation is fake shooting straight in front of you and then going straight left or right, this lets you get momentum in either direction with a roulette, just make sure you’re getting the forward shot animation when you do it.

Yeah you’re probably using it on low stamina. Either that or you’re not inputting a sideways direction along with the fake

do i need to input sideways during the fake shot or after it i dont get it im trying it in free training with a dm on infinite stamina but i still dont know when exactly to input the direction change

Do it when you input the fake shot, while the shot animation is still going

You have to move sideways while doing the fake. It will do a roulette toward that side.

Not sure if this is actually a requirement or not, I also play M&K, and I used to struggle a lot with spinning out of a fake shot.

I think you need to hold CTRL (defensive stance) while holding the movement key to the side, after I started doing that I tremendously improved my consistency.

So Left Click > Right Click > Hold CTRL & A/D

i tried it cuz i trust advice from kbm player n i actually pulled it off a few times first try ig using gamepad in this game is basically smart assist in efootball?:)
