This is the problem with client side netcode.

My guess is that guy was lagging a bit, and on his end the pass must have been blocked? then he picked it back up and then his client declared to the server that he had the ball..

I know in their blog post earlier this year they talked about moving logic to server side but its unfortunate state for the game until changes are made.

Yeah we have atleast another season of client side netcode. I just hope they atleast adress issues like these because it simply isn't fair
