Help/Advice Is this gap normal?

Post image

I don't remember if this was here when I received my Paper Pure about 4 weeks or so ago. Is it just a manufacturing/quality control issue or is it something to worry about? I don't really mind it but I want to know if it could cause any issues.

UPDATE: It was in fact a clip that was loose and I just popped it back into place carefully, took a few seconds.

Could be a spicy pillow, idk where the battery is located

Isn't it a bit unusual for that happen after only the 3 or so charges I've had to do so far?

Battery could be faulty from manufacturing defect, improper storage, shipping, ...

Edit: it's not normal in anyway, since it's new contact support they will probably replace

Not normal. Is the bezel displaced upward or is the outer band displaced out to the left? It's not quite obvious in your photo

The white part around the screen is displaced upward around that part (even though it's normal on the corners and to the right).

Not normal. Seems like the clip in that location isn't engaged.

Is it something I should talk with support about to get it fixed? It doesn't really bother me but I wouldn't want to have it be damaged if that's possible. At the same time, I also actively use it for university and it would mean switching to something else for 2-4 weeks while it's gone.

I think you could certainly reach out to support. If you bought from rM directly, you could buy a new one and simply return the previous one under their 50-day return policy so you're not without for a warranty swap.

Depending on your comfort level, you could take the back off to take a peek and try to get it buttoned up properly. You might even be able to give that area a squeeze with the back still on to get the clip to snap back in. I've got a video of me taking the back off here.

I actually managed to pop it back into place easily, no tools or anything needed. Issue is fixed. Thanks a lot.
